Breed the ladies

I have been looking around a little bit on the net to see if I can find ways to breed one plant with another, I found 1 way, putting pollen in a sack and covering up a branch and then that branch will produce seeds, but I was wondering if anyone else on here has done this...

I read that if you do this you want the male to be the good high and the female to be the quick flowering that you want.

I ordered a couple of seeds 2 autoflowering and I also got Chernobyl and I'm going to want to cross cherynobl cause I've heard awesome things and I'm too broke right now to keep buying seeds, so does anyone have any ideas on how to do this, or different ways to do this baby making

i would cross a fast flowering non auto with that Chernobyl if I were you...but im not a fan of autos, so, yeah...

Oh yeah, the pollen in a bag thing works, but you risk pollinating everything else when you take the bag off. Furthermore, pollen is denatured by water (or so I read), so condensation inside the bag might be a problem.

I usually cut off a few male branches when the flowers look like they are about to open, and stick them in a glass with water, with some tin foil underneath to catch the pollen. Once I have enough pollen collected on the foil, I use a cotton swab to apply some if it onto one of the lower branches of a female I want to pollinate. With this method I can get the treated branches to produce seed, while the rest is sinsemilla (or perhaps a seed or two , but not much more).

Do you have any bag seed sitting around?
Grow it out in hopes to breed it with the Chernobyl.
Otherwise, try breeding it with your 2 auto's or just breed the auto's together.

Here is my thought. Use Regular seeds, (I hate autos as well), then veg them, at 1.5 feet you'll see preflowers and be able to tell the sex. Put the males or your favorite strain male to flower. then keep vegging your ladies at least 2 more weeks. After 2 weeks put out the ladies with the males. Wait for the white hairs to show on the females. Once enough white hairs are showing for seeds then spank them with the male then kill the males. Tht way all future buds it grows will be seed free, but lower parts of buds will have seeds.

if you want to create a relatively small number of seeds, the paintbrush method is tough to beat
pollen can be freeze dried for later use, i'm using pollen from 1+ years ago, still good

I have bagseed growing right now, but haven't gotten the seeds in the mail yet.

Why do you guys hate autos so much? This is my first grow so I am not experienced or anything like that but a lot of people seem to hate auto flowering

I've grown 2 autos from 2 different companies. The HIGH of the auto is too light and not medical enough for me. its a nice little high but would bore the shit out of me if that was all I had to smoke... Tho I think they would be great if you used the bud instead to make cookies as they wouldn't be too overpowering yet light.

interesting.. I will have to try the autos, all my highs I have had were light... I haven't smoked much dro in my time, mainly mexican brick, full of seeds.

Yeah if you don't really know strains etc then auto would be adequate. If doen right auto that was bred with work put in would be better than shwag. but mids at best.

I don't like auto's either . Try a short flowering hybrd. I'm growing G-13's Blueberry Gum. Very easy plant to grow and fast. I'ts in the 4th week of flowering and the buds so far are hard as a rock. Good luck, jethead

I'll agree with this! Seconded! I got a blueberry Gum in veg right now and its like 1.5 feet tall and the leaves are big fat light sucking ones with an amazing growth. this strains vigor has truely surpassed my expectations. If its anything like the quality of the pinapple express i grew i'm in for a treat.

this is good to hear. I just popped 5 blueberry gum seeds along with about 29 other seeds for my outdoor grow this summer. I am really excited to see what this summer will bring. Last summer was a learning experience for me so this year I have much higher expectations! higher expectations for my plants and for myself! I hope I have edjucated myself enough over the last 6 or 7 months to pull off a much better harvest than last year!
