Does anybody know what this is?

My plants have been flowering for about three weeks now and yesterday morning when I went to go check on them I noticed two of them have these little things just underneath some of the new bud growth about 4 nodes from the top. It kind of looks like an opened up seed or something with a light powder in the middle of it? It might be tough to tell from the pictures but if anybody can help that would be appreciated. It is on 2 out of the 3 plants but only the one little thing in that one spot on them, nowhere else.

Here are a couple pics, there are two from a normal view and then 2 with that view blown up a bit, and just another pic of some bud for fun.

I second that. Those are pollen sacs. Pinch those carefully so that no pollen gets knocked off and remove from the enclosure quickly.

Damn bo, that's one funky looking hermi! There's a pretty good chance that it pollinated some of your female, sorry man. You could spray the pollen with water to make it unviable and remove the flower I guess.

Well they definitely were pollen sacs, glad I asked when I did. I took each plant into a different room and carefully picked off the sac with some tweezers and when I did a tiny little bit of pollen came off and fell straight onto the soil which I removed quickly. and when I crushed the rest of it into a kleenex there was a lot of pollen in there. It's strange there were only one of those sacs on each plant, hopefully it didn't disturb things too much. If it did happen to pollenate anything am I going to notice a big change in anything quickly?

yeah m8 as all have said that is a chick with a dick you could try thr DM penetrator an reverse combo but you may already be too far gone for that or you could try picking as many off as you can you may have a small release of pollen an end up with a bit of seeded bud if its the only girl you got you could finnish it up an just pick the seeds out,but destroy the seeds after as alls you would be doing if you plant them is increase the chances of more hermies an so on just make sure there are no other girls around,saying that i hear pollen can travel miles on the air current so with all that you got to ask yourself are your other girls in a sealed room i know its heart braking but the best thing you could is rip it up an put it in a black sac so no pollen escapes also if it does release pollen you can still have probs in future grows with pollen lingering around on walls etc

I asked and asked if it was possible for pollen to mess up future grows if it got on the walls in the fans, ect. and could never get a straight answer. Bricktop finally set it straight and said the pollen would not be viable by then. This kind of changed my view if hermies should be grown out or not.

If it was 1 out of 10 plants, I would say kill it. If it's 2 out 3, you may want to consider just picking the balls off as they appear since you are already 3 weeks into flower.

i agree he could have some pollen left in the room and i also hear pollen can travel for miles .As for the pulling off the sacks , not sure if i had a place sealed i may try it but it just seems like a pain in the ass to have to check everyday to just find out u missed some and carried pollen into your other room .if it was nice outside id say through it someplace alone and leave it other than that trash it i wouldnt want it in my house

Thanks for the help guys. A little disappointing but since it is 2 out of 3 and I'm already a few weeks into flower I think I'll just keep them going and really watch to see if any other balls pop up and pull them off. I guess its a good experiment to see what the weed will turn out like haha if anything I should at least have something to bake with.

Guys. As a newb I need to know what the problem is with pollen gettin on the females. Does it ruin the grow or the buds or the THC or something ?

The plant switches its energy from producing buds and THC to making seeds, there is probably a lot more to this but I'm pretty sure thats the jyst.

'scuse my thickness. Its the newbiness. The females grow seeds ? I thought males grew seeds and females grew ... buds :S. My interest in this is I suspect my biggest plant is turning male or hermie but a bit to soon to tell for sure and its in the dark 12hours so cant send pic yet

females grow seed when fertilized by male pollen. Just like in humans the women carry the children when fertilized by the male's sperm.
