Topping more then once?

you can top a plant as many times as you wish.. you should always give them about a week or so after topping to recover before putting them into flower though..

Like the man says above me, you can do it as many times as you want.

You don't have to do it more than once though, because its enough. A small fact many people look over is that, an unpruned plant can produce just as much bud as a pruned one. By topping it more than once you are fucking with the potency.

You should look into FIM, in my opinion its better than topping and you wont have to do it twice.

But be aware, topping more than once or twice won't really give you a bigger yield, it will just give you a plant of popcorn. You can tie them out and get more but with 20 tops, under a 250 watt light, you aren't getting any more bud, just smaller ones.

do u have any articles or videos i can look up about topping a plant more than once fucks with the potency ? id like to read them to learn how they come up with this...if what you say is true i have butcherd my potency to hell cause i keep 2 good mothers and 2 other mothers just for clones to do test on and my 2nd mothers have been topped many times..im not saying your full of shit i just wanna do some research so i have my own opinion

I'm not saying your clones will have reduced potency, I'm just saying the buds them selves on the plant that was topped, will be less potent. In my opinion.

topping or fim more than once if you give a lot of veg after each top - less potent thats just not true if you assume all your new tops will be the same distance from the light - If you are topping multiple times it needs to be for a really good reason and should be a very mature plant. If you can get more tops exposed to the top of the canopy then it can be more yield but if you just make a messy looking bush its really not going to help your yield out much - this is the essence of training for yield to get more buds receiving more light.

also if you dont give the plant appropriate time to adjust to its new situation and than develop upon that it can be bad- your plant should be pristine going in to flower - if your topping more then once your looking at a 3 month veg at a minimum if you want to do it right - you do need to let it adjust to the new tops for a week but then you should also let it develop in its new form for another week or two following that.

What i have done with great success is i only top the plant once. I wait until the plant is 6-8 nodes high(so the plant develops a good root system) and top right above the 2 true node so the plant produces 4 main colas instead of one.

Topping above the second true node or topping more than once will decrease the size of the main cola(s) and produce "popcorn" size buds.

IMO u can top however many times you want but i would only do it once above the second node for maximum yield. You can also super crop the 4 main stalks to control height as well.

i top my plants alot of times to keep it short and bushy and i have done topped and untopped from clones and IMO it does not effect potency.
not only does it keep the plant shorter (more light gets to every part of the plant = bigger yield ) but it makes things like budrot less prone to happen because smaller buds have less chance of getting mold/rot problems it also suits the space i grow in alot more.

yep and he means just above this node when you have 6-7 nodes, this is believed to be the best time and method - personally I go for more colas and top just above 3 or 4th usually
