I do tons of basil.. usually under my 600w HPS LIGHTS. They will grow like wild fire, Lots to drink, lots of light and unless you have themn in a large bucket for root base, they will need to be supported. I try not to cut much until they get about 20" in height. They will eventually go to flower if the lights are there for it, but you should get mass harvest anyways. Unless your looking for seed, pinch ot snip the flowers when you see them comming. For best results, I have been cutting the bud and the 2 stems below off to better reduce it trying to reflower immediatley as it will do at times. I grow 2 plants a pop, give a ton of it away and still save nearly a pound of dried, food prcesser chopped basil in the kitchen. This is sweet Basil in an aeroponic system.. they arent real picky on nutes.. they use what they need and tend not to starve the others. I have grown them with Beans, Matos, lettuce, Dill, Squash at diffrent times using the same tank. Hope it all works out for you.
Good Luck
