I got one of the radio shack ones. 60x-100x. It is very difficult to look at the trichs on the plant with that thing. I suppose I might have to make random snips to examine better. My hands aren't steady while trying to focus on the trichs. It's frustrating. I can see I have both clear and cloudy. However, my pistils need their bronzer yet. So, I'm prob. 3-4 weeks out. Just finished week 5. I was surprised to see the cloudy trichs already.
Shouldn't I be seeing more red pistils by now? Just a very few reddish ones. Buds are building day by day. So not much slow-down in flower production yet. I'm not complaining; 27" plant with a 11x3 inch main cola. The're several in the 6 to 9 inch range. Probably around 20 buds of decent size.
The buds look about the size of your 5 week pics. I was surprised by how much they packed on between week 4-5. I hear week 6 is pretty busy as well... I am not even going to guess the yield. I have no idea. I know I would be happy with a dry oz. Sorry to ramble on in your journal!... oh yeah, I culled out the tiny buds from below and vaporized the pistils... I was pretty glazed. Flavor was nondescript, however, it was a nice preview. Especially knowing it will get more potent! It smells like lemon cilantro... I hope that flavor comes through when cured... spicy lemon!

Sounds like your plants are looking awesome. I have a 30x scope and with a lot of work I was finally able to see the trichomes on my plants, what a wonderful sight to see. They weren't fat but there was a lot of them and they were all clear except for a few amber. My AK48 had a few mishaps, broke branches and such, because of them I have fewer buds sites. The clippings that I saved and dried are smoking pretty decent. I was surprised that the buds really do get better as they cure.

Based on what you described you will have well more than an ounce dried. You have approximately 20 bud sites averaging about 6 inches and plump you'll have 2+ ounces at least. I think that I will have about that much from my two ladies once they have dried. Come on make a guess to see how close you come.

I am going with 32 grams dried. I will get a photobucket account and post some pics of the grow soon. I am superstitious, so I didn't want to jinx my grow by talking it up, lol! I haven't grown in over 20 years, and then it was outdoors. Didn't pay that much attention. But indoors is so much more intimate... I'm liking it. It is definitely addictive!
My guesstimate is rather random. I just added up the bud sites and what I think they will weigh wet, divided by 3... I really have no idea what an 11" wet cola would weigh... hehe, and it is still going! ... I am having way too much fun with this!

You've grown before so you have a better feel for yields than I have. Just based on your description alone you will have double that amount, 64 grams dried. I don't know about you but I will be happy with whatever my dried yield weighs. I'll take 32 grams of good smoke.

I had 29 tops on my lsd ....plus innumerable secondary buds and a shitload of fluff n popcorn...good smoke pretty bud weight dry and cured is 121 grams from 1 lsd plant...I never weigh wet and have found the dry weight comes out to a lil more that 1/5 wet

Well, maybe I'll only have 30 grams or an ounce+ dried.

See, I obviously haven't a clue. When growing trees in Colorado, we would just hack em down and sell them by the qp. Never paid attention to individual bud weights. Just what a bunch of bud piled on a scale to achieve the goal weight. It was usually seeded, nevertheless, it was quite potent. That dry mountain air makes special bud. Hmmm, I will stick with my guesstimate based on what Illumination said. I may be underestimating the weight, and I only divided by 3. So, possibly more weight, but divided by 5... hope I will be pleasantly surprised! I have another young'n just starting to flower and another in veg... staggering these ladies.

This MJ growing can be a lot of work at times. I didn't feel the hard work involved so much when I was just tending to my 2-3 plants. I just repotted 9 plants and spent half the day doing it. I had to mix my soil mixture before I could start. I still want to get my babies into their vegging pots, I will be using a different soil mixture for them so I have to mix that together before I can start. The seedlings will be repotted into smaller pots than the 9 plants so maybe I won't have to work so hard and long this time around. I mixed in the garage, which is why my socks are a little dirty in some of the pictures. I let the soil get as dry as possible before repotting so that I could remove the entire root ball, which is why some of them are looking droopy and stressed. Yeah, I noticed the yellowing leaves too, I'm working on it.

Yes but the amount of wilt ya got going on is not normal at all.
Do you water them in thoroughly after re-potting?

Whoa, you think more might be going on with them? I took the pictures before I repotted and the soil mixture was dry. I thought that droop was from letting them get that dry for repotting. I watered them before lights out and I plan to water more today so that they are thoroughly wet. I checked them first thing this morning, I'll take some pictures and post them to show how they have recovered. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

I thought the wilt was after re-pot.
Letting the soil dry is good before re-pot but yer taking it to extremes.
What yer seeing there is literally a step away from death,causes mucho stress on the plant and actually slows them down.
They should perk back up and become turgid within a few hours of being watered.
