I started my new grow this past Tuesday. I purchashed 5 clones from a local store. I was able to get 3 babies of Flo , and 2 babies of Blueberry.Two of the Flo have a few leaves that have some yellowing. i am not going to let me get all paniced. What I am more concerned with is that new growth is coming in nice and green and it is. Roots need to stretch and allow new growth.
This is grow #5 for me. I am no pro but I am getting more comfortable with my system.You can check out my signature to see how I built my system and follow grow #3.

I am bothered by the high prices of decent clones available around here so yesterday I went out and bought a T-5 light set up , some Rapid Rooter plugs and some Hormex. I have a 44" x 30" area of my closet that is wasting away so I will turn that area into a clone/vegg area. This will help make my grow op put out faster by keeping flowering area always going. I figure I have about 3 or 4 weeks of veg before I take clones and throw the girls into flower. Plenty of time to smoke a few bowls and come up with a design.

Right now the babies are under a 400W MH light and I am still using GH Grow , Micro , and Bloom . I put the clones right into 6 x 6 Rockwool blocks.

Okay, after smoking a few bowls this morning, I decided to get started on making that cabinet for vegging and making clones. This is the closet space I have to work with . Outside dimentions for the cabinet are 44 1/2 " wide , 24" deep , 42" High. This is a pic of the bottom floor. Was outside today enjoying the sunshine and trying to pre build what I could outside and make it kind of a kit.
Smoking a bit of my last harvest so lets see how this pans out.

Some 2"x3" framing lumber and "L" brackets for the corners. This should help keep things sturdy. Good sale today at HomeDepot. One board in each corner should be enough to hold up the top.

I inserted a couple of "eye" bolts to the studs running across to hold up my new T-5 lights I will be using. I just going to use small chain and "S" hooks. Nothing fancy.

Okay , now one more panel in front and it's starting to look like a workable cabinet. In the opening, I plan to put a door on a couple of hinges. All this and a couple of coats of flat white paint and I should be good to go. Going to have to work on the door tomorrow. Getting late and pizza got here. Have the munchies for some reason . might have to work on installing the lights tonight.

Well , I have no plug in the closet so I will need a way to plug it in. I came up with the idea of drilling a 1 1/4" hole thru the wall and run a piece of this PVC pipe and seal with silicone. I will then be able to run the plug thru here and seal with a piece of neoprene . This idea might also come in handy in the next few days as I try to figure out how to get some air movement going.

okay , I got the door mounted with two hinges. I am using 3/8" plywood so I am going to have to stiffen the door a bit. No pic today. I will take one after I work on the door . I am getting a bit antsy. I can have this running this afternoon but I won't be ready to take clones for about two more weeks. This cabinet is nothing fancy. No shelves, just a cabinet. I intend to veg in here and make my own clones.

looking good man, cant wait to see it in action. with you plug situation, after you run your wire/cord through the pvc you can change out your receptacle for a a gfi. that way if the cord gets wet for whatever reason, it will throw the gfi before anything serious will happen...personally i would do it just for a little more peace of mind

:eyesmoke: Well , here are a few pics of my closet grow op. This has been a work in progress. I started with the flood and drain system and have now been adding a clone/veg cabinet inside the closet. Everything is behind a locked door. The veg cabinet is almost done. I need to rehang the light , install a power surger, a small fan. Being able to make my own clones and veg seperately should make this a perpetual grow op that harvest every 8 weeks.

As for my current grow. I feel that the babies are finally taking off but thay are coming along a little slower that I had hoped. Only one plant is looking really good but the others are showing nice growing finally. I think I severly stressed them out when I transplanted. They came in peat pucks in party cups with soil. I had to rinse the soil away and I think the cool running water stressed them a bit. I'll just vegg them for an extra week to catch them up to where I need them.

My clones are finally looking like they should. This is my slowest growing crop I have ever had. Clones came from a new source. At least my starting to make my own clones , I can have more control over things. These girls are at 15" and 16" so I will change the bulb over to a 600W HPS and begin flowering on Tuesday. Just a few more days.

I have been thinking about making my own clones and how am I going to veg them in my new cabinet. I am not a friend of anything that even looks like soil and I grow in Rockwool. I need to come up with a way to veg in smaller blocks and then move to slabs. Likie most people , money is tight and I am a picky old fart.
I think I have an idea.

Okay , I have an old LEGO container that I can use for a reservoir. It holds about three gallons. I bought this for my son about 20 years ago so I am not taking away toys from my babies. LOL
I also have this green tray I can use as the tray. I dug this out of the trash many years ago. I have been in the plastics industry for about 18 years and this was a scrap part. I knew it would come in handy some day.
So far , Zero dollars spent.

I have a submersible pump that I scavenged from one of my wifes fountains that she had in the dining room. The damm cat kept taking the rocks and making it off balance. I gutted it for the pump. I had a bit of hose left over from another project last year.
I did buy Fill / Drain fittings. Spent about $7
I also have an Air pump with an airstone that I got from my sons old Disney fish aquarium from many years ago. More money saved.
