Cloning made as easy as 1,2,3. (Soil Cups)

I'm going to post some pictures of 2 of the clones (they all rooted and 2 died from water getting inside the cup somehow) The rest I've already given away. The GDP I did the same time isn't rooted yet but it was a different strain and I've heard of GDP being a bit more difficult to clone. Give me a moment to take some pictures and I will get right back with you guys. (and gals)

I haven't been on here in a while but I figure I'll try to help some future growers by bumping this thread. Sorry for not having the time I used to.

(NOTICE) the pictures above aren't the 2 I posted. The 2 I posted were cups in a hole in the ground. Admin? Can you possibly help me out?

So you leave clones in the domes until you see roots? Can be up to 2 months? They don't need any additional watering or fresh air ever??

Na I've had them take 10 days and I've had them take 28 days (literally 28 days on the dot) and all you have to do is make sure the soil is "moist" NOT WET and make sure you spray inside the second cup (humidity dome). Tape them together and pretty much forget them for a couple weeks then check them. I have cuttings in a tray right now that have been here for over 3 weeks and still looking good and it's basically the same method. When you see roots take the tops off or cut some air holes in the cup. Works out well hope it works for you.

How late into flower can you take a clone and successfully root it? And how large of cuttings do you normally take for cloning?

When using this method I usually cut about 4-5" branches and about 2-3 weeks into flower it's still relatively easy but after that it starts getting more difficult because of the high amount of phosphorous and that stunts root production (not 100% on the reason) Personal experience.

Excellent post! I've been actually thinking of trying to clone my eggplants just to see how they fare and am definitely gonna try this method.

Sounds good, just trying to learn as much as I can for more future experiments. Thank you.

Do you absolutely need rooting gel to make this process successful?
Does the plant need to be 3 weeks or so into flowering to take clones or can they be taken in veg?
Love the guide BTW thanks for posting.

so, unfortunately I'm one of those people who is nervous about cloning. I really an digging this method through and I'm totally going to try it, but what kind of soil should I get? People say you can't use miraclegro because it will nute burn clones. So can I just get a bag of soil from home depot or something, cause I really don't want to order anything else online?

Sorry I haven't been on to answer any questions lately. I will answer the questions being as I'm on now. This may not help the ones who asked but it should do some good for the newer growers. Do you absolutely need rooting gel to make this process successful? No. but it helps
Does the plant need to be 3 weeks or so into flowering to take clones or can they be taken in veg? It would be best to take in veg but clones can be taken up to 3 weeks into flower.
what kind of soil should I get? Any soil that has good water drainage and not too much dense material (sand and smaller would possibly be too dense).. .. ..

I just used this technique to cut 3 clones 3 day ago. The top cups still have condensation as of today, I haven't had to respray the clones or the domes
