Oh ok, thanks. Could either of you do me a favor and try to blow through your air hose, and see if there is any airflow? Or if its blocked like mine? Im about to just take a drill to this cause I think they sent me a defected air intake manifold.

Currently I just used a battery tender to test it. seems to work pretty good till I go purchase a outlet plug.

oh you're talkin bout the keep alive pump? that thing has to be submerged in water to work properly, hope you're not trying to use it like a regular air pump.

ok im confused, how exactly fo you have this hooked up ?

blowing through airline will do nothing, the airline draws to the impeller infusing the air with the water

what model did you get

I got the ka-460. Should be the same as anyone else. Heres a picture. You might be able to see how all it is a tube straight down. I thought its supposed to be a elbow where there is airflow being pulled from the outside from the plastic tubing. Theres another picture where I stuck that wood in, and thats as far as it goes. Theres no air flow what so ever. For me it is 2 separate tubes that doesnt connect at all.View attachment 1563516View attachment 1563517

that just looks like the suction housing. the water will be sucked in from those big slits on the side.

Thanks for the little breeding 101. I've never though to just pollenate a branch or two. I've really just never looked into breeding at all. I've always been very "get the bud, get the bud, get the bud" minded and didn't care for males. Maybe I'll give it a go on this round. I'd love to make my own Chernobyl seeds so that in the event I ever lose the mother I've got more back up than just the 6 seeds I have left from my 10 pack. Do you have a preferred storage method?

Yeah pwizzle. I know what the intake manifold does. I am specificlly referring to the supposed air flow elbow that you attach the plastic air hose to. My elbow does not transfer any air at all.

Do you have one of these?

its not an elbow on those, its built into the bottom housing, on the side of it there should be 1/4" plasic inlet for the airline, if not then you only have a regular bilge pump & not the oxygenator,

i went ahead and drilled it out, and now it works great. Doesnt look as intense as the gif, so Ill use my other air pump as supplemental I guess. Did you guys keep the air flow restrictor on there?

I thought livewell pumps and bilge pumps were the same except livewell has the extension to pull water from outside the hull.
I just got a regular bilge pump.

ok ill try & explain some more, firstly what you see in .gif is in salt water, in fresh water it is the same you just dont see it, fill a tote with water add aquarium salt & put it in there & viola you see the bubbles

some bits from some of my other posts......

ok heres what i found out on those, been reading up on them for a while as you know, well those do generate some D O, but the ones i prefered had an airline attachment at the bottom & brought it right into the impeller itself so infusing it with the recurculation the bilge pump is performing and by doing so realy produced the D O we crave. The fast-moving water at the output of the pump creates a vacuum, which suck air into the pump output. This system typically provides larger amounts of smaller air bubbles than previously discussed aerators,

ok i just read this again, it's not an aerator, this is an oxygenator, its a recurculating bilge pump, it has a clever impeller design that produces millions of microscopic bubbles, totaly silent, vibration free & externaly mounted, the "keepalive" brand has a barb at the bottom to attach an air line, that way you could in theory add portable oxygen tank, but we just attach a small air pump & viola, millions & millions of minature air bubbles, show me ANY airstone & pump combination that beats that, i chose the external mounted for ease & to diffuse the bubbles away & not directly at the delicate roots, but now my crazy head got the idea of a small thermostaticly controled freezer for reservoir, this way mount an internall pump at the bottom, cheaper pump too & more options in size, if you need the details, ask away

some of the conversations on this item & subject on flows thread, this page ....

hope this helps you understand the reasoning why i got this all started in the first place

livewell is a bilge pump with an adapter at the bottom allowing an airline to put air directly at the impeller, you could make your own quite easily if you drill one out & make it yourself

Thanks for helping with OneHit's questions bro and PW ! View attachment 1564637
Sounds like it's time to take the convo over to the Cooler Club thread too, OneHit.
More appropriate place for the info to be laid and not my grow log.

should help a lot of folks out
whenn i started here a few years back all everyone said was 'if you get a male kill it "
must have b een started by seed banks

cause thats the way its supposed to be the way our creator planned it

1Luve - Stay True

God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Gen. 1:29-31)
