This will be my 4th attempt at cultivating my own personal smoke. First time with any "official" seeds, always done bagseed runs before, had a solid Indica i got nearly a LB off of last year even though i pulled a little early.

I am using just some regular old mircale grow top soil with added perlite and vermiculite and a few standard amendments, blood worm and bone meal, dolomite lime. Will be supplementing with the Fox Farms line as i have plenty left over from previous indoor attempts.

These were germinated right at the end of March, kept under some 100w equivalent daylight spectrum cfl's for their first week until they had a set of true leaves. Seeds placed into terra pots so as to avoid any transplant shock on a plant with such a short life span. They all showed sex around 2.5 weeks

Im curious to see what type of yield i can get outside with decent sun, they are in 3 Gal pots so i dont think root constriction will be an issue for such a small plant.

Anyways, thats enough of a set up, everyone likes to look at the pictures

All comments welcome

This one is just a bagseed i germinated back in early February in some old recycled soil, topped her and made an attempt at cloning but the conditions were dreadful and that didn't work out so now i just have her, topped above the 3rd node, im going to see if i can keep her under 4 or 5 feet even though i can see her desire to reach skyward already

LST'ng a little, trying to let the internal growth establish itself before i let any future dominant cola's develop, i can her a her because shes already showing pistils which i assume is just due to the semi long nights of early spring, i imagine she'll revert to veg for the summer and then bloom robustly later on like my girl did last year

This spot doesn't get ideal sun but its fairly hidden and it gets good afternoon sun, also not ideal but im a begger, ill work with it. I transplanted from a 1 Gal pot to a 2x2x2 hole filled with the same soil mix my autoflowering girls have now hopefully she will enjoy the new space and higher quality medium.

Thanks for checking out my grow!!

Another Week Down

I have no experience with such rapidly flowering strains, Ill only pull when they look ready but as far as a guestimation what do you think? 7-9 weeks? the AK is just now kicking out pistils at all budsites while the more vigorous Lemon Skunk has several fat calyxes as well as some light dusting around the main bud site

IDK but its fun to watch, we got some rain friday but its lookin like 4 or 5 days of 85* and sunny so I nuted them up and they should do some growing this week.

They all 3 were being eaten alive by some sort of pests, im not sure what, im not very savvy on the bugs. I killed a couple catepillars and worms via the pinch and roll technique and ive been treating with a neem oil solution, 2 part neem oil 1 part detergent, 10 parts water and the new growth appears to be clean of infestation

I also added a very porous mixture of mostly perlilte and vermiculite with a little soil mix in there to the top of the pots to help reflect some heat and light away from the roots that may be near the surface after some soil compaction

Anyways, enough babble yet again

Come on guys, dont be shy, tell me what you think!!

Nice grow Mr. Oasis. I'll follow along to see how the Lemon Skunk turns out. I've grown several of the Lowlife strains including the Diesel Ryder. 3 gallon pots are plenty big and you'll have no issues with root constriction.

Nice, have you ever done any auto's outdoor? I think i am about to germinate a few more in the next day or 2, i had a diesel ryder sprout with this batch but she never made it, pretty sure i drowned her.

If i could get 2 or 3 harvests out of this year i would be pumped, im just worried about the quantity, i cant grow indoors anymore as i have a roommate so i have to produce enough to last me until next season. Its all personals and gifts, i feel like it keeps my karma better to do it that way, but i am definitely pumped to burn something i can find in a magazine instead of comparing bud structures with this randomass seed from a bag that made it to me all the way from Mexico.

Yes, all my plants are grown outdoors on my balcony. Sorry to hear about that Diesel Ryder, it's a good smoke. I'll grow another one this season. Last year I staggered my grows - I'd plant another couple of autos once my last batch was about 6 weeks in, or so. Not exactly sure, I'd have to go back and check. I think I got 3 harvests last year. Here's a link to last years journal (I'm not trying to pimp out my journal): https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/312747-pablos-socal-balcony-grow.html

Same here, as far as the personal smoke and for sharing. I give away more than I smoke. And they are fun to watch grow, because they mature so quickly.

But I like that Lemon Skunk. It's leaves look kinda narrow, similar to a Sativa dominant strain. The Super Cali Haze claims to be a true Sativa autoflower. We'll see.

Cheers.

I just ordered some outdoor auto seeds that will be my first grow so I'll be watching so I know what to expect hopefully haha. I'll be growing Lowryder's Easy Ryder (5 fem), Dutch Passion Auto Blueberry (1 fem), and Sagarmatha Double Diesel Ryder (1 fem).

I am growing outdoor autos this year. Lowboldt, Double Diesel Ryder, Afghan Kush Ryder, and Smurfberry. Well, prolly not the smurfberry cuz the genetics suck. 2 out of three broke soil, but are yellow and sickly. 1 actually snapped while uncurling. Gonna try a couple more in different soil, but not getting my hopes up..
Def gonna be following this as I'm curious about the benefits of sunlight compared to longer light periods.

Well i doubled the concentration of the neem oil solution and it seems to be working much better, haven't had much rain so ive nuted them a little heavier and im gonna flush them sometime next week i believe. Smell is starting to develop on LS A, all were started at the same time but i have a feeling there will be several weeks between the first and last harvests of them.
Tried to get some up close shots of the bud development but they didn't come out very good at all, they have all grown pretty rapidly the past 2 weeks, warmer weather and longer sun should do the buds very well.
Lemon Skunk A is about 16" tall now, LS B is about 13" tall with almost NO branching, and the AK 47 is about 10.5" and is just now starting to push out a large amount of pistils, no real calyx swelling on her yet.
Anyways, enough babbling, here's some pictures. And keep the commentary coming, i love it, glad ive got a couple on board, keeps me from falling off of my entries.

Expecting rain tomorrow so i took the pictures a day early, one day soon im gonna start germinating a few more seeds, i meant to do that weeks ago.

Anyways, the ladies are looking good, not so much small insect/parasite/mite whatever, activity, a few spiders calling the big girl home and a small colony of fire ants nearby, both harmless if not helpful.

Still treating with the neem oil, will continue to do so for probably 2 more weeks, as long as I am nuting, when i flush ill quit spraying, ive never worried about affecting the taste, it kinda smells like oranges anyways.

I hadn't actually measured them last week i just guessed, turned out i was right on, The biggest is 16" middle is 14" and the smallest, the AK is just 11" now

The AK looks to take some time and may get a bit larger than the rest, good even branching and still looks to be in the early stages of flowering.

Enjoy the pictures, i like the commentary, keep it coming

Looking good. Neem oil is good stuff, I just sprayed my plants with it yesterday. Like yourself, I keep it up throughout most of the grow. I've seen people here complain about the smell, but I like it. I get the concentrate that I mix in with luke warm water. My biggest problem has been aphids congregating underneath some of the tiny leaves at the bottom of the plant. Good thing about autos is that you can inspect practically every single leaf for bugs. Cheers.

Well another week gone by, Both the Lemon Skunks are budding up nicely with the one (LSa) having much more branching as well as being larger overall. The AK47 looks like it may take 2-4 weeks longer to finish than the two skunks.

Im still nuting, just gave one last heavy feeding today as we are expecting rain all week so i figure theyll get a natural flush before i do it myself. Probably down to 1 week or so left with the neem treatment, longer on the AK because its not nearly done.

Also I germinated a few new seeds, some California Hash Plant (reg), A diesel ryder (fem), Auto AK 47 (fem) and another Auto Lemon Skunk (fem), they've all popped through the surface but ive got low expectations, i had them in the basement as we've had family over recently, conditions not ideal, didn't think it would matter but they may not make it, keeping fingers crossed.

Anyways, check out the pics, not much sun today, tried to get some better focus on the shots, still pretty lacking though, oh well, enjoy!

Well the lemon skunk is really starting to smell pretty great, on warm breezy days you can smell her little ass from 20' or so, the AK47 is finally starting to bud a little, it looks to be a much denser bud structure than the skunks, im looking forward to this, ive only grown one strain that was this dense before and it was from the same random bagseed that i also got sativas which took 24 weeks of 12/12 and still never finished flowering.

No real marked height growth anymore on any of them, hoping for a little in the AK as it is a true dwarf to this point, mostly just bud swelling and the Lemon Skunks have started really frosting up to the point of some random balls of trichomes scattered throughout? Has anyone else ever experienced this? They just look like little balls of the same dust thats all over the buds, i brought one in and put it under my pocket microscope and i was correct, its just a tangled web of trichomes, a couple amber ones in there already as well, wont be toooo much longer :hump:

I think the last feeding was a bit strong and the leaves gave me the finger for a day or two, they got rained on 4 days straight and i have to dump the drain pans repeatedly so i feel pretty good about hitting them with one last light feeding before i swith to straight water to finish.

I was just a little medicated this afternoon, sorry for the babble, hopefully you all feel pretty well informed, this has kind of been a pseudo-journal for me, the first one ive really done start to finish, kind of nice to have a record of it, even if its what scares some people.

Ive enjoyed the commentary though, keep it coming, and enjoy the weekly photos ladies and gents!!
