wowzers, first indoor grow, congrats things on looking great, just browsed through the thread, going to get another cup of coffee and do some serious reading:)

ur DIY RDWC is awesome, u may want to check on that green hose that is connected to the return manifold, last time I bought a hose at homedepot they had several types, they has some that were listed for "drinking water' which were a little more expensive that the standard green hose.

I have zero idea if the hose could actually cause you any type of probems, I know the black soaker hose says "not to drink from it"..

the plants look good so I doubt that is a problem.

. Don't want to scare you, like I said the plants look good so I doubt its causing you any adverse problems...

overall great job!

Well thanks Medi! So glad you stopped by!! :) the green hose is gone, I think he had it hooked up to the old pump which was very loud and causing some heat problems. The new pump is actually submerged in the rez and working out alot better for now. I'm excited to see your UC and gets some tips for when he builds a larger one! Thanks again, you're welcome anytime.

Should be fine. " for drinking water" just means it's NSF 61 certified. Basically for contractors following specifications. NSF 61 = usable for drinking water .

May need you guys to help me diagnose a little prob I just noticed. One of the widows has some funky patches lol. Nothing serious but I'll post some pics shortly. Funny orange/pink color, spots almost look chalky. Husband said mag def maybe?? Idk post some pics Lil later.....

If there kinda speckled its probably a ph thing. If there orangish brown or rusty blotches its likely a mag or possibly a manganeese def. If you add some mag and it doesn't get better its probably manganeese and the extra mag you added will make it worse.

Also make sure your co2 isn't directly spraying on the plants...

All above have happened to me personally lol.

Good call wood. We're thinking either or as well. Bc the plant that has these places was closest to where co2 was coming in. Added a little mag and moved co2 some. Also we cut another piece of that covered styrofaom to give the plants some more room. Pix shortly lol been delayed :). Thanks Wood!!
