They can do as they please. I just hope they don't ban someone whose a hacker or has hacker friends! 
I love this site and the people to much for them to ban someone who's going to destroy the site.
I wouldn't worry too much about that. Anyone who really has the capability to do this -- wouldn't be bothered with a site like this. If they were to be banned -- I think they woud simply start something themselves or find a new place to hang. Going through the trouble to exploit a vBulletin bug, then find the right sql inject statement to purge the mysql database is just too time consuming, and I simply don't have time and could care less.... errr, I mean, someone simply wouldn't have time..I defend no one but myself.
The only reasoning I can see why they do this, is because these pages do show up on search engines, and the mods probably want to portray a site with mature like minded individuals... but then I would counter-argue and say you can easily select certain threads to be crawled... (hidden from s.e. bots)
why did that threa get shut down, I remember fdd being knee deep in that thread as well...The thread the Hot RIU chicks spawned from.The actual hot chicks pix thread.

your kidding, which mod did that? did the thread get deleted or just closed/It appears modding is done not so much by rules but by whether they personally enjoy the thread or not. Only rules i know to go by are those setout in the terms and use, and i can't even find a copy of those for reference.. Anyone remmeber a certain popular thread that was closed because it was deemed pointless chit chat between members and that wasn't what toke and talk was for....tis kinda hard to know what is allowed and not

See, here is where I have a problem. As long as your are thread jumping within Tolk N Talk why does it matter if I thread jump? It's all meaningless fun anyway. I can understand if the mods had a problem if you did a thread jump from Tolk N Talk to Harvesting or Indoor Growing. Those threads are more serious and should be left for learning... but that's not the case here... the mods treat us as if we were a bunch of kids who don't know any better...Because they brought the Hottest RIU Chicks thread into it.
