Soil Less Problems

I use mainly sunshine #4, perelite, and a hand full of castings. I have been ph-ing to 6 in flowering and recently 50% of my girls are burned as a mother fuck. I use the complete fox farm line.

Does anyone have soil less pointer for my problems...?

could you possibly show some pics?? I have been doing research on promix and problems with it for about the last 3 months... People think that just because promix doesnt have food in it that is " hydro " but its not, you wanna treat it as soil and sounds like your ph is too low... Promix is peat based, peat is acidic which causes the promix to become acidic as the peat breaks down and yes there is lime in there but by time you get into flowering the lime is usually broken down and not working as well at buffering the peat in it.. Try top dressing your ladies with some dolomite lime and water as usual.. But before you do that try and get a reading of what your soils ph is. And DON'T do the run water thru and read the water cause thats just not a accurate way of reading your soils ph. Good luck dude

I have been having problems with the Pro Mix and Fox Farms line lately also. I know exactly what you are talking about. It looks like burn, but it is actually nutrient lock out. Keep your pH higher. I make sure I seen lots of green when I use the dropper test. I expect my pH in a nutrient mix runs at 6.5-6.8. Fox Farms nutrients build up and slowly drop the soil pH and if you are already keeping it at 6, it is really easy to drop it below 6 with some nutrient build up. I recommend adding a watering between veg and flower and then bump up your nutrients. Also do a watering after the week 7 and 8 where you are loading with Grow Big and then bump the nutrients again. This will help prevent nutrient lock due to low pH levels, but also help you finish strong.

I totally agree with nightbirdx, and on your next run add some dolomite lime to the mix before you replant them and that should keep your ph in check. And make sure you ph your water to around 6.5... good luck homie

It's funny that you say this because I actually just started using dolomite lime in my Pro Mix to help with pH balance and as a cal mag buffer since I was deficient in some plants.

Is the lime doin the job? I know when I tested my promix with my ladies that were half way thru flowering that the ph of it was 5.3 ( boooooooo ). So just incase anyone wants to chime in YES there is lime in promix but not nearly enough to last a whole cycle. It also provides a source of magnesium that your ladies will eat up. I don't think that people realize how much and important magnesium is for plant life, It's just as important as all the other macronutrients..
