it depends if you want to go for quality go for the links i sent you......i would suggets you get a rhino carbon filter as they are brilliant also maybe you should go for a 600W hps air cooled..........how many plants you looking to do ?

Yeah ill go for the quality, means saving up a little longer but ittl be worth it as im not planning on upgrading.

Looking more for maximum yield rather than more plans, rather do a few more plants and let them absorb the lights and get more, than put more in and get less. I NEED to stick to 400w as im limited by the elec bill.

I'm getting LANT MAGIC OLD TIMER ORGANIC GROW + BLOOM and Plagron Light Mix Soil from ebay for my first grow. You've invested in much mroe than me lol I wish i had the same amount of money as you lol I'm using a 250w blue spec cfl and 250w red spec cfl in a cupboard. Gonna use ona gel to remove smell. Lowest budget grow i could think of for like 3-4 plants.

Once i get enough money for my 2nd grow, i'll be getting a air cooled 600w mh/hps bulb in a 1.2x1.2x2m tent, 5" extract/carbon filter. All in all will cost me around £600 for that set up.

Thanks man you too, and i have to stick to the 400w as the 600 would cost too much for me to run, 400 is too much as it is

as for the money ive got, im not quite there yet but im getting there fast i figured if i get all the gear now then ill be set and wont have to upgrade

you woud hardly notice the diference between a 600 and a 400 probs like a dollar a day more

Whats your temps like in the tent with the Air cooled hood? And how have you got it set up? Eg carbon filter>fan>hps>exhaust. I ask because my temps are creeping to 29-30 and id like to drop it down a couple, thinking there maybe a better way than ive got it. Cheers

My temps are 49-50% and 29-30 thats with a 5" exhuast and nice desk fan inside but no intake.

May i ask, how much about do you spend running your tent with your 600? if i got a 600 wouldnt i be better off getting a DR120? instead of the DR100?

My whole purpose is to get say, 3 or more oz per harvest, just defeating buying shit weed from some tool.

haha a 600w hps is around 3 pounds per day i dnt have an intake but for a tip use ducting to the window and put the other side in the tent and the exhaust presssure will suck air fru the ducting

nice idea

and the price of the elec scares me, say i veggd for 3 weeks, then 70 days in flowering, itd cost around 270 .... and thats just running the tent

yeah, i understand what your saying but honestly, im 19 next month and live with my parents still and i still dont have a job (looking, im not a bum)

at the end of the day, its them paying for it and i can only contribute toward the bill once ive got some income :/

I wish i could get the 600w, even if it is an extra quid per day, but i cant even afford it as it is.

Thanks for the input guys much appreciate it, and trust me, if i didnt have it then the tent wouldnt have went ahead as i would be as i would be so puzzled.

I've researched it alot and its not the growing im unsure about, its the environment i grow in.
