I separated and pollinated 2 Auto Assassin, 3 Auto Blueberry, and 1 Diesel Ryder.
Each strain is substantially far enough away and shielded from any cross pollination's from each other.
I didn't capture my pollination technique on camera, as I was way too busy with what was going on to do it.
I spent 4 hours out there, separating, pollinating, and transplanting.
Once each strains location was chosen, and the plants were moved to their respective positions, I took a baggy full of male pollen from each male strain in my male plot to each female strains location.
Complete change of clothing and washing was necessary once I collected the pollen and placed into the individual baggies....before I went out to the female plots.
I luckily had 20 extra gallons of clean water to wash myself and the outside of the baggies, to kill and collect any stray pollen that might have collected.
Maybe it was overkill, but I wanted to make every effort to keep certain aspects as clean as possible.
So I have 3 different Auto plots setup, with 1 of the plots being the original main plot. I left a Jack The Ripper female and 4 Auto Assassin females in the main plot, grouped 2 of my best Auto Assassins and the Jack into one corner, and pollinated all 3 plants with Jack The Ripper pollen.
The resulting cross of Auto Assassin X Jack The Ripper should prove an interesting hybrid.
I can say with confidence that the resulting hybrids from Auto Assassin X Jack The Ripper should be unreal. Short and bushy, with huge Sativa fan leaves and multi-branching....that's what I'm hoping for.
For Auto Blueberry, I completely pollinated the 3-inch and 8-inch females, and pollinated just the bottom half of the tallest Auto Blueberry.
For the Diesel Ryder, I completely pollinated the entire plant.
I placed a bag full of pollen around the branches I wanted pollinated, puffed it around a bit by tapping the sides of the bag, let it sit for a few minutes, carefully removed, and continued on each branch I wanted pollinated.
Many of the male pollen pods were still undeveloped, but many were developed enough to produce visible pollen floating around in the bag.
It actually rained about 15 hours after I pollinated the plants, which is ideal, as it killed any randomly extra pollen that didn't come in contact with any female pistils.
This should cut down on any random cross pollination's from nearby plants.
