i think my plants are lookinng good im a first time grower but if anybody can help me out with tips or anything pleaseeee do.

soil is roots organic an theres 2 T5s on there now but i already have a bunch of other lights. i already got a hood i think thats what it is called but i need to start putting the lights on 12/12 but all i got for nut is bat guano an there about 2 1/2 months old so far

My eyes are not that great ...but is that straws around the bottom of the stems ?

How Old are they ?

Plants look nice and happy .... might be a bit stretched ... How far away is your light ?...and what light are you using ?

yea that is straws i was doing tht because before the stem wasnt really holding up the leaves so i cut the straw and put it around the stem and it really helped an all the lights are about 4 5 inches away from the plants mayb a little more

when you decide to flower, i would get a hps. you will yield way more and your buds wont be as fluffy. for even better results, get an air cooled hood for the hps light. this way you can place your plant much closer without it burning up and get more lumens.

Drop those lights down to the plant buddy! I used t-5s, and you can put those things literally on the plant. I always put it about 1/2 in off the top. They will get better light, just adjust as they grow.
And Use an HPS to flower. It makes a HUGE difference. That is proven.

i was looking to get a hps and is it true tht it makes your buds more dense and if i keep waiting to flower do yu think its gunna change how much bud i will get

... Clever idea ... i might use that myself

Rule of thumb with the lights is to get them as tight and close to the top as you can ...without to much heat hitting the tops ...warm is ok ... If you can put your hand near the top of your tallest plant ... then lower your light until it feels just warm ... about an inch or two away from the plant ...That will promote the plant to be more bushy by keeping the nodes closer together ... The shorter and more bushy your plant... the chances of a higher yield .

You say they are 2 1/2 months old ? ... they look younger

it will have quite a diffrence and take those straws off when u can is there a slit in them u can just remove them or is it uncut u dnt want the m stem to grow to big and get tight on the straw

Didn't do well in english class eh?
I suggest you do some research here. There are tons of journals showing CFL grows. As well as HPS grows. Simply find 2 grows that use the same size pots, and similar strains. You will notice the CFL grows are nice, but the HPS grows are just bigger, and better.
As a general rule the longer you veg the bigger the plant. Therefore, the more buds it will produce.

im gunna be switching my light in the next few days an as soon as i do tht im gunn start doing 12/12 i jus have to set up my new grow tent but yea the straws have slits in them so i can jus take them off and when i switch to a hps how far should the light be away from the plants. there about 2 1/2 if very close an do you guys think there ready to start flowering?
