Need a Little Advice on Air Cooling

so i am currently in the last stages of figuring out everything i need for my grow this summer. i currently am going to have 6 plants with ebb n grow in a growlab 145 w/ 1000w magnum xxxl reflector 6" with an air champion carbon filter. I am going to have 1 oracle 6" centrifugal fan for intake and want to have my second oracle 6" fan to do two jobs. 1) i want a dedicated fresh air line going through my light 2) i want to have the carbon filter do its job as well with smell. here is an attatched photo of what i am thinking of doings so i do not have to buy a total of 3 oracle 6" fans. let me know if using this Y duct connector 6x6x6 to connect the dedicated airline for the light and also sucking out air of the tent thru the carbon filter will be too strenuous for the fan or not as effective? i wouldnt think that there would be too much strain just pulling air straight through the light to effect the carbon filter as well. let me know your opinions guys.

unfortunately airflow much like electricity chooses the easiest route, unless the resistance of the filter is close to the resistance of your reflector and ducting, its only gonna end up pulling air through the reflector and the filter will just act as a plug , it might pull a little air but not enough for exhausting air. i would use the filter inline with the reflector but that may not work for your situation. edit, you could just use the two fans for your filter and light seperately and have passive intake, but passive intakes suck for tents ive found, especially if you're battling heat issues

filter ----> fan -----> light hood -----> out of tent (preferably out of the room with the tent as well)

The fan will cause negative pressure if you open the vent on the bottom. It will pull in air and most importantly not let any smell get out!

If you have any heat issues with the 6" fan you could either just use one 8" or just add a 6" inline duct booster fan

If possible just keep the room the tent is in air conditioned to 70-75 degrees and vent the heat from the light out of the room and you should be perfectly fine with just one 6" fan.

yeah i am most likely just gonna get another fan each separate for the filter and the light. now i have another question. if i wanted to throw the duct Y connector to conjoin the two at the end so i only have 1 exhaust air ducting going out the window for the tent. it would be something like this.

line 1: fresh air ---> air duct ---> reflector ---> inline fan #1 ---> duct Y connector ---->
line 2: filter ---> air duct ---> infline fan #2 ---> same duct Y connector ----> out of room

would that work as well? or should i just have both air ducts seperate out the window. cuz im already gonna have air duct exhaust going from AC out the window so i'd have 3 separate air ductings going out my window which would look sketch as fuck to my neighbors. i live in an apartment.

yes you could do that but i would try to find a 6x6x8 Y or somthing like that, instead of forcing all that air through the same diamater ducting as the fans, a 6x6x6 Y would work but it would be restricting

You can get 6" back-draft preventers(like a one way valve for duct) from home depot for about $5, in order to keep the air going out of the single outlet you could cap off two ends of the Y and this should stop any sort of vortex from forming in the fitting and control positive air movement.

yeah but see i dont wanna buy another thing of 8" ducting cuz im already getting 25' of 6".

im thinking i might just not do the duct Y connector and just have all 3 exhausts taped to go out my window...

really good idea. i never even heard of those before. if i do end up using the duct connector i will definitely be picking these up. thanks.
