Need Some Help/Advice about Nutrients

What's good everyone? I've been sucking up all the awesome info this site has to offer for a while now but this si my first time posting. I've made up a small batch of Sub's SuperSoil..I have added everything except powdered cal/mag. This is mostly because I can only find it in liquid form or as a drink mix.

So I assume the drink mix is out as a option since I believe it wouldnt be the same form that a plant can use? I'd like to just be able to add RO water and not have to add in liquid nute. So does anyone know of a good place to get powdered cal/mag? Or any other ideas? Thanks.

Agricultural Lime or Garden Lime is made from pulverized limestone or chalk. As well as raising the pH it will provide calcium for the crops and trace nutrients and our soils may well benefit from the addition of rock dust, adding trace nutrients to the soil.

Dolomite Lime is similar to garden lime but contains a higher percentage of magnesium.

Quicklime and Slaked Lime is produced by burning rock limestone in kilns. It is highly caustic and cannot be applied directly to the soil. Quicklime reacts with water to produce slaked, or hydrated, lime, thus quicklime is spread around the land in heaps to absorb rain and form slaked lime, which is then spread on the soil. Their use is prohibited by the organic standards and while fast acting, the effect is short lived in comparison to garden lime.

masp84: Thank you for that information sir. So if I've already amended my soil with dolomite lime, is that enough calmag for the duration of the plants cycle?

Rule of thumb...when useing subs soil....if yur useing tap water it will not need the calmag added to the soil...especially if you have the dolomite. I always use dolomite wheather I have a peat/acidic based soil or not. Its just PH buffer....keeps the soil in the growing range for marijuwanna...yup yup

Yes that should be enough, if you happen to see a def you just dilute some in the water and feed your plants. Remember DO NOT lime when fertilizing!
