all we can hope for is getting the 10,000 signatures so we can get the referendum and get the ordinance put on a voters ballet. that i think will put the ordinance off until it is voted on. i feel its very possible to get these signatures seeing that North Valley Holistic Health has like 5000 patients thats half the signatures right there! i will be going tomorrow to become a voters registarar and help with collecting these signatures! thats all we can hope for right now. and hope that when the board reviews it after the new year that they will make the ordinance more lenient once they realize that this complaint driven ordinance doesnt produce more complaints! thats what they are looking for complaints so it gives them a reason to use tax dollars to abate gardens. theres even a clause in the ordinance that says if someone does not comply and is not able to pay legal fees that the courts and force the property owner to sell thier home! NOW TELL ME IF THAT IS RIGHT!!!!
The people doing it for money are already on 100+ acre parcels. This is helping the big guys by upping the limit from 6 to 99. This is hurting the tiny guys growing for themselves. Butte wants all medical pot sales to pass through a single dispensary so that they can have a heavier hand and more focused control on the local medication taxes. Force the home growers out so that big business can generate city taxes.
Im beginning to not like you stevie i think you do not belong in this forum! sure there are some people that are in it for the money and like gastanker put it thats where the county officials just handed mmj over too! they took it out of us small growers hands and gave it to the large growers that have lots of property!
lol why not they've been doin it for years and i wasnt even talking about big business growers, iam sayin nongrowers and smokers, yes they do exist, support these types of actions b/c they dont want weed and everything that comes with that in their town, and when you have the majority of people feeling this way its easy to oust growers, i do belong in this forum b/c my stance is all out legal, no restrictions and i think thats what growers big and small need to focus on and get out of this delusion that b/c u smoke your a terrible thug, but that will never happen b/c everyone wants to get paid
Wow... 95% of the patients I know literally need to move in order to still legally be MMJ patients. That's nuts. Has a county ever banned the use of any over the counter or prescription medications? I can pop a Vicodin a foot from the elementary school but I can't posses MMJ in my house?
