When do I Take the Lid Off of Humidity Dome when Making Clones?

I made some clones three days ago today.
I'm wondering when i should take the lid of the tray completely, i've been dampening it off for the last two days the holes on the top are completely open but i doubt the clones have rooted already.

I dont wanna keep the lid on too long because last time i did they got moldy.

any suggestions???????

Ide wait till the roots push thru the cube, but if u think they are semi rooted do as you please if mold was a previous problem

If they stand up fine and the leaves don't curl, try w/o the dome. I always run a dome, but a lot of people don't need it.

I've never used a dome for longer than 2 days and most of the time, don't use one at all.

I don't mist either. LOL, you keep getting mold, I guess you'll eventually stop inviting it in.

Hi mate wait till roots are well threw, then pot them straight into your largest pots you are going to use dont bother moving them from smaller to bigger it just stresses them,,,

what i do is ween it off the dome once theyve been standing strong for a few days. take it off for a few hours one day then a few more the next and so on.. as far as mold goes i havent had that problem in the dome (knock on wood). i usually clean the inside of the dome with dish soap every few days and then thoroughly rinse it out b4 i put it back on. and you need to mist them. cuttings and seedlings should have 85-90% humidity

now ,dont let them go rotten and mouldy again!
too late.

out of 50 clones around 30 of them got moldy and i had to kill them.

there some survivors but i have some fucking issues with this mold. keeps coming back everytime i make clones with the dome.

after each use do you sterilize and decontaminate your dome in the spray bottle add a few teaspoons of bleach with distilled water after you wash your equipment down spray it down wipe it clean any bacteria, myself i take the dome off every other day but always keep them misted and spray down the dome , also do you use a heating mat? most importantly is misting them and a heated mat they root that much faster, i cut 60 clones all 60 root no issues,! happy growing and with you the best of luck
