I had a total knee replacement and the main reason people have the procedure is to "get rid of the pain." The last of my problems is my knee. I've had 10 knee jobs and chronic basically did squat for it. I've never even considered ganja for my knee.
My card is for gastro issues...severe nausea.
But a card for my knee causes tremendous giggles for me. Can you picture the headlines a-coming?
I normally don't need the smoke for my knee if I am being inactive, then it is more for anxiety and appetite for me. However, when I am being as active as I am now then the chronic pain comes back and I need the smoke for that. Before my surgery I didn't smoke when I was active because my metabolism was obviously better and I was in higher spirits with myself, then when I got my injury (torn lateral and medial meniscus, my MCL was very thin and my ACL was partially torn, and throw in a fracture in my cartilage haha) and wasn't able to be as active I got down on myself, not depressed but more feeling just "lazy" and "useless" , you know? After rehab and now being active again I have had pain in my knee that I obviously didnt have before the surgery. Doctor prescribes me percocet and low dose morphine pills, and while I have tried them since my surgery when I am not able to smoke, I am rather afraid of pills because of accidental overdoses and the side effects (not to mention addiction possibilities) so the smoke helps with the pain in that way.
Before my surgery cannabis was more of just a recreational do it every once in a while thing, a dub would last me nearly a month! Now that I have had my surgery I have become a heavier smoker (about an OZ a month) and rather than grow and posess it illegally I would rather get legal and not have to worry about it. Wouldn't even need the full 6 plants, just enough to keep my own personal stash (marijuana and money stash lol) full and help my knee calm down at the end of the day.
