N. Cali where I grew up to visit with Family...and Reno for fun. Came home with a bad cold, made the drive a bitch, but at least I didn't get it until the end of the vacation.

Bingo...yes, we did talk about Lake Co. I was born and raised in S.F. but all my remaining family is in Lakeport and Laytonville. Managed to catch the worst Spring storm you guys have had in many years, wasn't planning on staying as long as I did but had to wait for the sun.....living in WA state, I try and plan for when it's nice before it gets too hot down there. Remembering from when I lived in Kelesyville...this should have been the perfect time of year....but it sure wasn't!!

I lived in Kelseyville from 1986-1989 My youngest son was born at RedBud (Dead-Bud) in Clearlake. It was 114 the day he was born, end of July 1987.....I can't take that kind of heat anymore having lived so far North since then.....but damn, this was the worst end of May start of June I ever heard of. I went to visit last mid-Oct, same deal...normally a great time and rain rain rain. My family said they will call me when it gets too dry and they need more rain as I seem to bring it with me!!

I don't think I will be making another trip down until next year....and I won't be using a firm date...just waiting until the coast is "clear"
