One thing i wish all LED manufacturers would do to their design is make the panel bigger in physical size to make the footprint larger...

Not exactly a good thing because then you have to pay even more for what you get, you risking losing even more when something goes wrong (and shipping it to them or back is gonna be a bigger bitch), they get heavier and heavier, etc lots of good reasons not to do that. If you don't think they make them big enough get a light mover! Your space is only 4 feet wide you you would only need a single 6-8 ft rail that went up the middle, it would help you get more out of your best LED lights.
I see no point in a light rail in a 4x4 space, even though right now its not in that space, remember that everything here is aimed at going in to the 4x4. As for weight and shipping....these are not an issue for me as you can see with stealthgrows 1250 unit. Besides the tech will allow these panels to get thinner and lighter in years to come just like tv's, mobiles, everything my friend. PS. I am a 17 yr. veteran of product design, I've worked on products that have become household names worldwide so I feel I can see exactly where this tech is going. 10 years from now every hobby grower of any plant indoors will be using LED, even commercial growers of the more invested ilk.
Sorry I thought I read you were growing in a 4x8, yeah for a 4x4 I would either get a single big one like a good 500-600w or a couple smaller ones like two GLH 290s or two Blackstar '500's

we should start making panels for uk
'n boer maak 'n plan
I was watching an LED grow but the guy that ways doing it got offended by some dickhead and bounced. I'm interested in seeing how they do. Honestly, all I've heard is bad things from serious commercial growers, but maybe theres been advancements since then.
I think the market has found it's feet already and the players are settled now, we would only be playing catch up in terms of reputation and technology.
I am working on a low pressure aeroponics table that will fit most tents in various sizes. They are being test run as we speak![]()
i kinda agree except that i have only found one UK based distributor and they aren't exactly reputable :/
who are the reputable companies?
blackstar (are they even any good?)
supernova (seen a journal using these panels - v good but super pricey)
progrow (HH)
