Question guys. What is the deal with the auto's having hollow stalks???
Yesterday, becasue the male Snowryder I have was stretching, and I wanted to supercrop it and bend the top over, when I did, the damn thing was hollow. I remember reading about this before. Within a few hours it had raised completely back upright and you can see all the way through the stalk. I checked the females and kinda gave them a nice squeeze and they seem to not be that way or am I mistaken.
Is this the way with all auto's, male or female???

i've heard some people say it indicates a healthy plant, whilst others say its down to genetics...
if you find a definitive answer let us know..
i've seen hollow on both auto and photo.. but now that you mention it not sure i've seen a non hollow on an auto..

Maybe it has something to do with how much wind they've been subjected to? I imagine plants that didn't get much of a breeze would be more hollow, although I imagine that wouldn't be that big a part of it (anyone know what is?)

Pith center of dicot plant stems. In some plants the pith breaks down forming a
hollow stem. In older woody plants, the pith is filled with rigid xylem
wood fiber.

Here are a few pics of my Pandora and Automaria II at 8 weeks.
First two pics are of the two Pandora and the next three are the three Automaria II. Last pic is a bud shot of one of the Automaria II. All 3 are turning a little purple for me here in the home stretch.
Pandora is a monster, albeit a little stretchy. Probably looking at 10-14 days before I think about chopping any of them.

Looking good sonar, I wish I could use the Sun. Neighbors are to close, and zero fencing.Here are a few pics of my White Sharks I took yesterday. They were 74 days old and on day 17 of flowering. They both literally take up all the space under the light (4' x 22").
Pollenation has started 2 days ago on White Shark #2 ,and will continue for a week with a few more flowers from it, and a few flowers from the female Snowryders.
I will post an update later on my project, just about done watering, then I will take some pics. of today.

Here are a few pics of my White Sharks I took yesterday. They were 74 days old and on day 17 of flowering. They both literally take up all the space under the light (4' x 22").
Pollenation has started 2 days ago on White Shark #2 ,and will continue for a week with a few more flowers from it, and a few flowers from the female Snowryders.
I will post an update later on my project, just about done watering, then I will take some pics. of today.

Here is today's update.
Everbody got a tea feeding with Cytopus, McoGrow, and Molasses.
The Snowryders are looking healthy, I have noticed that the hairs are extremely long, flowering has not really bulked up at all yet.
#1 is now 6 3/4" tall
#2 is 6 1/4" tall
#4 is 7 1/4" tall
The male #3 is around 15" tall now and shedding pollen.
The White Sharks are holing up as well. They have been beefing up the stems where I have supercropped them. They took in alot of tea today. The extra day without really helped and I'm sure that they will have a nice growth spurt, or bud formation and swelling

That's why I do it guerrilla style.
If I had the room for something like your setup I dunno if I'd even bother braving the great outdoors. BTW those T5's are sweet. They are a lot brighter than most people think. I have a 4 bulb 2' and I love it for starting seedlings and veg.

if all goes according to plan, a simple breeding project will commence to produce beans for future use, and to see what happens when you breed a tri-node (correct term anyone?) plant.

Can you turn your bulb horizontally and maybe get a reflector, you would have much more light. Even without the reflector, your light should be horizontal for better light distibution.

If you look closely you can see that there is another branch/leaf coming off the backside of the stem at the first node that you can see in the picture.

My 2' 4 bulb is being used by the Snowryders and I do love the T-5's so far for veg.
Would love to have a Hps for the bloom stage, but space & heat was the reason for not going that route at this time.
Do you know by chance know which company makes the best T-5 bulbs? Have you seen any video's on comparison grows with different bulbs?
What is your thought on leaving a couple blue bulbs in my 6 bulb T-5 during bloom. Red, Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Red?

Hey Toker, it looks like it still has a bit to go, I think you may be mistaking trichomes with the hairs. You cannot see the trichomes unless you use a macrolens if using a camera, or a 30x-100x handheld microscope.
From the pictures it looks that 70% of your hairs have turnes, but cannot tell the % of trichomes.
You can always harvest now, if you wait a bit it will just bulk up, more hairs will turn color, more trichomes will become amber and your high will get more sedative (Your THC to CBD ratio will change).
