Hello all-
Today the monsters were fed BMO's Super Plant Tonic. All monsters were fed 2.5 gallons at 1oz a gallon of SPT, except the monster in the greenhouse, she got 5 gallons at the same rate, 1oz gallon. The wife will water again on Saturday, I'll be in the city at the High Times event. Monday the girls in the weed cage will get their first feeding of BMO's "Grow it green". A tea will be brewed middle of next week, ready for a late week tea party!...lol...medicated.

When I first moved here it was bare land. One side of my property borders a river, and I have tons of wildlife here. I had a heart and relocated the rattlesnakes then, unless to big to handle (i have a skin that measures 67 inches with no head, 15 buttons on the tail), then I would destroy them. Once my kids and animals arrived at the property, and we had a dog and horse hit by a rattler, and cost me hundreds of dollars to treat, I destroy all rattlers now. All other species of snakes I catch and bring to my property. Seen a Gopher snake three days ago cruising behind my house. I like when I see that, the wife spotted it first, freaked her out....LOL!

How about trapping and relocating the coyote? Then he would be happy and you just a thought. Well it looks like another hot day in the Bay. dirrtyd
Probably not. They are pack animals with a fantastic ability to locate each other through a vocabulary of different yipes and howls. Unless you go clear across to the next county, they will meet up again. Besides, half the time you do this relocation thing you end up killing the animal through starvation or it gets hit by a car trying to find it's way home. It doesn't work well with pack animals, that is why so many states are having such a incredibly hard time reintroducing wolves back into their forests.

In time it will hopefully be detoured because the hen house is locked up, but they are smart animals and will return from time to time when driven by hunger, they know there is a small possibility of an easy meal. So if you slack off on night, it could be the one night the coyotes are hungry enough to come back looking. Do you own any Shepherd breeds? They are probably dying to learn how to round up chickens to help you put them back in the hen house.

So I guess the short answer is to plug one between it's eyes.

Hello all-
Well I went to the High Times Medical Cannabis awards Saturday June 25th in San Francisco Ca.
On my way to the event I hooked up with dirty d at his home and checked out his grow,....cool ass dude, very friendly, offered me a place to stay (didn't take him up on his offer though, wanted to get home), nice as can be wife and family.....Thanks a million, made the trip that more special! Dirty d you and your family are A+ in my book.

The event was "over the top" as far as the medicating part was concerned... I had so much canna cookies, canna drinks, canna sno cones, canna honey, canna smores, bong hits, vaporizer hits, coal hits (they drop a piece of honey oil on a hot coal and you suck up the smoke with a "horn" looking glass pipe), oil hits out of a bong designed to smoke oils from, , lit joints were handed to me like I was a kid trick or treating at Halloween! I had to go back inside the seminar area just to come down a bit. Every dispensary was handing out bong hits, vaporizer hits of anything you wanted. O...I would like to try the "Purple Cream"... sure sir, would you like me to pack your pipe, our use ours?....smoke....cough....cough....oooo that's good,.... can I try the "headband" sure sir, your pipe or ours? ALL DAY LONG! I'm suffering from a "stoners" hang over this morning, slept till noon! Every way of medicating with marijuana was there, and I tried most of them....WHEW!
Then when the time hit 4:20, I think half of San Francisco had a "contact high" from the cloud of smoke that was rising from the event! I was looking above the crowd (I'm 6'5" easy to do) at 4:20 and it looked like dozens of camp fires lit at once, tons of smoke rising up, thousands of dollars of medical marijuana was being consumed at that moment, what a great thing to witness.
Glad I went, but can't imagine staying 2 full days, those people have a long drive tonight! I didn't make the after party Saturday night, so many other things to do in the city.
Had a great time, thanks again to dirty d for his hospitality. Great time, Great event, Great people, Great weekend,....I'm tired, time to take a nap!

Very jealous. I wanted to go but I had already missed too much work this month for my weekend job. I was able to go to the Spring Gathering, and took home 1st place at their Cannabis Classic though... I guess that'll have to do ;)

Spring Gathering wasn't organized at all though, I really really really wanted to go to the High Times Cannabis Cup and compete!!

Yea it was "over the top" for sure, but I would expect nothing less from a High Times event held in S.F.
1st place winner at the spring gathering Cannabis Classic what are you growing to get that award?....very interested. Congratulations on that, must make you a proud papa....:-)

It was one of my grow partners strains, so it wouldn't be fair to say I won it alone, but we grew it out together. It was his Banana OG, it topped out at 17.8% THC. Also had the highest CBD and CBN, we had a print out but I lost it, so I'm waiting for "The Werk Shop" to send me the poster of the results as part of my trophy, I suppose. Anyways, I'm always willing to participate in the international exchange of fine genetics in the legal market, but that is all up to my grow partner, it is his baby.

I don't have any kids yet, but I imagine this feeling being a lot like watching your kid kick everyone's ass in a karate tournament. Proud as I can be. Now I don't browse through the hydro shops and dispensaries, I strut through them. Haha.

But thank you very much for your kind words. I think winning a cannabis cup wouldn't be such a big deal if all of us more serious growers competed. I certainly didn't think I would have the very best, but I sure did in the end. If you can ever get a sponsor (often events like this cost money to compete in, you usually do it for fame) I highly suggest entering your prized strain. Next year I am entering my SFV OG by Cali Connections. I would really like to breed my own champion.

I read the part in bold above and started thinking about a weed plant kicking the shit out of other plants mocking their THC and CBD levels.. "13%.. Is that all you got! BAMM! I got your 13% in my left calyx!" LOL

Good Morning Hodge...
There were a lot of strains there that I never tried before. I liked them all!...LOL....Jilly bean, Headband, G-13, I think those 3 stuck out in my head, but it was all good. \
Dirty d turned me on to some G-13 seeds, JTR seeds, some of his own cross, Chem Jack seeds, so yes, I did find a few new strains. Like I said, itb all became a blurr after awhile....lol.

Weather report...
Sundays nights low was 62.3, and yesterdays high under sunny skies was 92.3, again exactly 30 degrees difference.
Threat of rain tonight and tomorrow, need to figure a way to cover the bud box with "see-thru" plastic to let the light in, but keep the wet out!

Haha, oh man, my brother picked up some Big Bud the other day, which tops off at 15%, and this was certainly less than 15%. It tastes great (one of my favorite flavored buds actually) and reminds me of high school, but it just doesn't hit the spot. I told him to just wait 1 day but he couldn't. I don't blame him, he has bad digestive issues.
So when I went over to his place I hooked him up with a 3x3 tent, 400w HPS, 6" can fan, and 6 quality beans. Spoiled brat, right? Haha.

But dude it was seriously just like watching my buds beat up other buds at the contest. Feels good, man.

Jilly Bean by subcool? I hope you got some beans! Subcool scares the fuck out of me, his plants are all breed to take in extremely high EC levels in his super soil, but he does it all purely organic with almost no liquid fertilizers, if any. So different than what I do I wonder how it would work out. I've seen that Jilly Bean around a few times since it came out, but haven't tried it. Guess I'll have to give a shot.

And I'm super jealous of all the beans you got. There weren't any beans for sale at the Cannabis Classic. I am trying to get Swerve from Cali Connections to vend to my dispensary, but we are in bum-fuck-nowhere, so I don't know if he will. Otherwise I'm going out to Santa Ana in the next few weeks and picking up a few hundred dollars worth of his beans, and a few clones. Right now I am looking at some high THC containing autoflowers from Paradise Seeds. It's soooo fucking tempting to put them outside, I'm at 5,800ft so I live in a cloud, I really need a fast finishing strain that will avoid or at least survive the night time fog. Currently looking at Pandora (freebie) and Automaria II, Vertigo is out of stock and original Automaria looks like hell. Anyone have any experiences with these? I figured if anybody did it would be your outdoorsy type.

Do you have any more windows left over from the greenhouse? Otherwise you may be booking it down to harbor freight for greenhouse covers, if they still sell greenhouse stuff. They used to.

No I got no beans from Subcool....sigh.....I was too fucking stoned to think right that day, although I did say Hi to him, and thanked him for all his help, super cool dude!
Weather update...
Monday night low was 59.1 degrees, and Tuesdays high was 84.2 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.
We received .92 inches of rain last night/this morning. Had to scramble to cover the girls in the bud box when I opened her up this morning. I put a few extra sliding doors over them, should be okay. (thanks for that idea Jozikins, I had something else in mind)
Last nights low was 56.1 degrees, and doubt we will reach 70 today (61.5 just before noon)

Like I said, I can't get SHIT done when I smoke that Jack Herer. When I need to work I smoke the Mind Bender x Afghangooey, more of an "uppity" high.
Glad you had fun in S.C., sometimes the crowds / traffic is a bit much to deal with there for me, but hard to have a bad time in Santa Cruz. I love that "hippie / green thinking" culture that exists there. The world would be a better place if we all thought like that.
