Help with buds needed

Do they all look like that? I get those at the bottom of the plant sometimes.

Some strains are more airy than others though.

get an HID even if its a 400w and use high pressure sodium its the only way your going to get rock hard buds

How far away did you keep the lights?

They are a few inchs from the plant but I don't think its the lights I had an ak harvest with thick dense nugs but this one here for some reason won't swell up the calix stays small for some reason

Probably just a runt seed then. I have grown really nice plants with CFL before, my buds were kinda dense, they weren't airy at all.

I've used CFL, T5, T12, MH, HPS, and LED. And even a Mercury Vapor one time, all throughout my 18 years of growing, to me the newer LEDs produce the nicest buds. They are very expensive though compared to HID lighting. Sometimes I ponder how big of a grow I could have done with the money I used for my 3 LED panels. But I also ponder what kind of heat and fan noises I would have to deal with, again. That is why I no longer use HID lighting.

I veg with a 90 watt LED from HTG, that was $150, and I flower with 2 Blackstar 240s (133 watts each), I got those for $270 each, and I have one more cab with 4x 68 watt CFLs. 4 cabs total, 1 veg, 3 flower. I am switching out my CFLs for LEDs fairly soon here, thinking about trying either a Blackdog LED, or a GLH. Those are like $600 for the same size Blackstars I have now.

I've been averaging .7 grams per watt on the LEDs with low yielding strains. I have a high yielding strain going right now, well see how that does.

Nice buds how much those leds go for? They seem to be doing good!

Ya sux i cloned a couple of this one too :/ youve used just about everything :D overall what light did you enjoy most? and ya heat and power consumption are my weak areas at the moment the can be a pain!

sweet leds would be nice to have man less energy less heat to the touch dank looking buds and it would make my room look cool ;) but those leds aint bad prices how many can you fit under one led panel?

I wouldn't say they're more efficient than HPS watt for watt. The savings comes from not needing extra exhaust fans to keep the lights cool. I have 1x 13 watt 69cfm Axial fan per cab for exhaust, and 1x 6 watt 45cfm axial for intake. My temps are just right. My cabs are 24" x 24" x 40" each.

The light covers 4-6 square feet, so, depending how big you want your plants, you could do just 1 big one, or do 12 small ones in a sog. I do 2 medium sized plants right now per light. I will be trying 3 and 4 also over the next few months.

I did sog with a T12 and T5 panel, 8 square feet, and did 16 plants. Just a 14 day veg. Filled the canopy just perfect.

LEDs for sure. They are so easy, and no heat to worry about, or ballasts, or fires. Just plug them up, and start growing. T5s were another I liked, the LEDs yield a little better though, and the quality of the buds are a little better too.
