i have discovered mould on the rockwool of one of my plants ( nft hydro setup ).
its not on the plant but it is all on the rockwool that the plant is in. Can i cut it now and still smoke it ( about 4-5 weeks into flowering )or can i leave it a couple days just till the buds get a little more formed ( still loads of white hairs sticking up ).
Or do i have to chuck it away altogether?

NEVER and I mean NEVER smoke mouldy bud. It can give you all kinds of nastys including nasty cases of death. Are you sure it is mould and not just algae? If this is only on the rockwool, my guess is it is algae, can you post some pics so we can help diagnose this for ya? Peace W

Best the best advice is keep the air moving good so the top of the rock wool dries out faster or cover it;-) I like to keep my air move rather than cover it so the air get down in the wool.

I only be anle to post some pics tomorrow. whats the difference between mould and algae and what does algae look like ?. i mean it could be algae, i just presumed mould for some reason. it is only on the rockwool and not on the plant though ( rockwool has gonna dark and has some white shit on it ) any guesses without the pics.
and hyperthetically, if it was mould but not on the plant and only on the growing medium, can the plant still get blazed>
many thanks people..... i really dont wanna chuck it but i really dont wanna die more!!

i'd do a bit of both. my friend is a hydro grower, and took the other end of his cool tube, and turned it towards his plants for some air movement...also covers the tops of his rockwool with like different color, almost like plastic paper plates with slits and a hole. its obvious they were made for plants...not sure what their called though. at any rate it works for him. as far as i know hes never has mold. but almost always has algae built up on his table.

I've had algae its green and real slimy~That was caused from lack of air movement and not letting it dry out on top. I just started an all rock wool grow as a matter of a fact. I'm tried of dirt:eyesmoke:
