Too Much Nitrogen 4 Weeks Flowering In Subcools Supersoil

I dont get the whole chlorinated water debate dudes, my water has chlorine in and it dont harm the microherd one bit or my organic ferts and seaweed wouldnt work so well. I dont even leave it out 24 hours to dissapate and dont get a single problem. My water is less than 50 ppm out of the tap so have to adjust up to 150 with cal mag or just mag before giving to the plants. People go on about flouride but both are nescessary for a clean water supply and neither in regulated amounts will cause the microherd or plants and particular problem. I wouldnt read too much into chlorine or flouride if you have any kind of decent water company in the area. Peace

I do not have a ppm meter nor am I looking to buy one. I do have epsom salt and will start adding 1tbs per gallon of RO water every other watering. Upon closer inspection it seems my new mother has a slight mag def.

Lime in the soil is used as a buffer, the cal/mag ions need to be binded to the acidic elements in the medium, the cal/mag in the water will be for plant uptake, 2 different things although if the soil has too much cal/mag in you will soon notice when adding it to the RO water. I would say do it but if results are bad discontinue and next grow slightly lower the soil cal/mag levels to allow you to add regular amounts in the water.

Why use RO water anyway, most tap water is fine, you really need bad water to consider RO water???

DIFFERENT VEG CAB MOM AND CUTTING
Here is the new mama in the back and her severely lst'ed/supercropped baby in front. I do think the moms problem is a mag def rather than nitrogen def. what do you guys think?

Going by the bottomleaves i would try uping ferts, mag and trace elements and see what happens. Whatever it is if you manage to fix it now those buds should finish nicely. What sort of ferts have you been adding? The plant looks quite big! Why RO water?

I completely agree with you. I've said almost the same thing in various threads. my girls like the tap here more than r/o water. according to the local water department here it takes more chlorine than they put in to kill microbes off completely. 5 ppm's of chlorine would be dangerously toxic to humans and it takes more than that to completely kill of microbes. most tap water is 2 to 3 ppm's of chlorine where in public pools are 4 ppm's

No nutes, just water. I am using supersoil and ocean forest. She had been a mother for quite a while, and I just upsize pots and toss supersoil on top and water when she looked hungry. I have been using RO because I though it would be good for the plants, I can switch back.

Tap water is better but know whats in it first, most water companies will list or tell you the ppm and any harmfull chemicals as well as the type and concentration of chlorine and flouride. I doubt there are many places in my part of europe where tap water would be bad for plants. Can you call your water company or find the info for your areas tap water on google?

There is a good thread that explains tap water and RO water ppm and such on here, it is a sticky on the first forum, i will post a link, some say RO water actually takes the nutes out of the soil and plant but i doubt it is that bad, anyway i will post the link to the thread that explains water-

Read the first 3 pages, explains most things. I prefer my tap water but then again it is one of the best in the world. Peace

That's a lack of nitrogen, plants still use tons of N during flowering contrary to what people say.... How do you think that the plant produces the smaller bud leaves that surround all the plants nugs? Think about the hundreds of smaller leaves being produced during flowering and what is powering the plant to produce them?? N

if you have more then one plant, try feeding one of them a full dose of vegg food and see if the problem slows down... bet it does. One of my strains that is a bb cross eats 2x more nitrogen in flowering then it does in vegg..

Re cat/dog hair. I use a very fine stocking over my 6 inch intake pipe. It won't stop dust but pet hair is a sure thing.
Good idea!

Would a lack of nitrogen cause burt leafs? Sadly this is the only plant.

Well the picture of the two plants, mom and baby, I just added big bloom and molasses. I think they look better today.

Yer i would be tempted with some tap water and a dose of ferts, buds look ok so dont want to make any problems for them, looks like whatever you are missing its not by too much. Keep us posted with the changes. Peace

So underfed then?

New house max, dose that mean you had to move the grow too?

Nope..... Just want to grow more lol. Actually I'm kinda wanting to invest into some type of bigger garage or building but houses work for now but most houses I find can't handle the amount of electric I need.

That plant is kinda confusing me, looks like it had previously been burnt but now lacking something... Buds look juicy tho.
