I built a 156 watt light for under $25 from walmart... works well as far as being on a budget and having a small grow...
T5 lights works wonders. I just bought a 2 foot, 4 tube light for $85 and my clones absolutly love it. I will soon be buying a second

a 4ft x 4 light t-5 produces 20,000 lumens @ 216 watts perfect for vegging using 6400k tubes and cost anywhere from $120 - $160.
No need to because it really does not matter what a bulbs lumen output is. plants do no see lumens, we do. Thats where bulbs are rated, by the light the human eye sees, lumens. Plants see Photosythetically Active Radiation, or PAR. Thats the rating that matters. And still lumens do not add upon each other from bulb to bulb. Thats just a Basics 101 fact.tell that to ppl running 2 or more HIDs

some basics need to be disputed then because if this is true then everyone in the country is using the wrong bulbs for flowering because MHs put out more PAR than HPS,right?
Lol wow i got almost the exact same light, cfl n hanging. How many plants u got under the light n how far? Vegg or flower?
Thanks
