yo dst! and everybody elese whos shown love. came by to drop off a pic of one of the cheese suprises! battary on the cam is dead and the charger is m.i.a so i only snapped a pic on the better looking one, the other one drops fan leaves like crazy and got a lil bit attacked by caterpillars, feelbad about that. but this one was right next to it and not a mark and holds its leaves beautifuly.. i appreciate it once again this is deff one of the most beautiful plants i'v grown. i took a couple clones hopefully they get going and plan to pollinate them if i find the right male.

Nice Droman, looking real nice there. And I agree, the baxk crossed cheese lost fan leaves everytime I looked at it, seemed to just be the way. They go like super yellow overnight and then you touch them and they fall off?!?!?!?! Still produce a real nice smoke though even with that trait.
Good luck with it.
Peace, DST

So here's a Psyco Killer x Liver's. Looking good and growing well. Hopefully its Fem. Should be interesting to see how it pan's out :)

Peace

Hey folks, sorry for not posting in a while. Been busy with 700 other threads, lol. Anyway, here's the Deep Blue F3's as seedlings. I started with 15, now down to 10. Here's 3 of em so far.
They have maintained the nice blue tinge to them. Fairly uniform so far apart from some being a bit stronger than others. got some repotting to do but I want to run them in trays so I need to wait until they are starting to show signs. They are proving to be quite hungry fukkers so far. Still dialling in what exactly they need.

Peace, DST

Structurally they don't look like livers, colour patern I think is though (smell potency) Size I hope from the more indica, (indica growth pattern (good for commercial growing) as well as short flowering time) ;) All the traits I was looking for, but hey, I am getting ahead of myself, lol. Let them grow.
looking more deep than blues there, fat indica type leafage well stocky anyway.
My cheese is a bit on the purple side:

Well that's why it's a Cheesey Surprise innit!!! haha. As I said, that'll be the DPQ mannish tendencies coming through I reckon.

the buds are rock hard and smell of sour milk, Can't wait to sample it. Under the microscope it's about 20% amber. 47 days, still can't quite believe that.

Mannish tendencies, right. The stretch is pronounced lol. I just think of it as more sativa than I've ever done.

the original exodus cheese is quite a sativa looking plant, this was the starter of the genetics, it was then crossed with Danny Boy and then backcrossed to the Exo Cheese again, then it was jizzed on by some rogue DPQ and these are the resulting seeds.

still pi$$$$$$in it with rain here...ffs. At least I can use some of the water this morning for the ladies.

Peace out, DST

Hi all. I haven't started growing yet but I have been doing research on it and I found exactly how I want to grow but now my question starts since I can't find it anywhere.

1 - When breeding my own strain should I create a IBL for the strains that I want to start making my own with before I start breeding or just find the strain that I want to use of each kind and make my own strain?

2 - When wanting to make my own strain that uses 4 or more kinds do I make batches of the ones that I want to cross into 1 strain like NL and Haze for batch 1 them back cross it to make a stable strain. Then use Skunk and Ice to make batch 2 and back cross those to make a stable batch 2 strain. Then take The 2 stable strains that I made and cross those then back cross those to make the perfect strain that I want?

or

Do I take NL and cross it with Haze then take the NLxHaze of that and cross it with Skunk to make NLxHazexSkunk then take that and cross it with Ice to get NLxHazexSkunkxIce F1. Then take the F1 that I want to stabilize and back cross it with the moms and dads of the original strains that I used to make my strain and do the same method but make it a F2 strain?

3 - When breeding my own strain how to I select the perfect make plant for breeding?

4 - When breeding do I need to give the plants alot of like when they are producing seeds?

5 - When the plants are producing seeds do I need to feed them like I'm flowering them for their bud or is there a completely different feeding way when making seeds?

1- find the strains you want to breed with

2- its going to take some time to find good genes once you make your first cross and then you need to decide whether your going to use a female of your first cross or a male to cross with the other strains. each way you listed will give you different results and will take some major time and different grows.

3- choose the closest thing that you look for in a female, smell, size, leaf pattern, trich production, node spacing...

4- cfls will do fine

5- treat them the same

the more experienced guys will fill in where i miss out.

Thanks for the help. I was thinking of doing the IBL method to make the perfect parents for breeding. How many times should I back cross to make a strain stable at the most?

from what ive learned, back crossing just introduces genes from the original parents that you want to see more of. crossing off spring for F1s and so on will make the strain more stable. once again the more experienced guys can clear this up, most of them are in UK and europe so they come on at different times than i do.
