Common guys don't fail me now.... We ALMOST got it after all of these responses.
Jack47. I will try to answer your question.
Supplies for this batch:
1oz lemon kush bud.
2 cans butane. (The more refined the better)
1 PYREX glass container, I like using a small bowl. Must be Pyrex!
tamper. I use a blunt pencil.
Razor blade to scrape glass.
scratch awl. I use it to stir....could use a piece of hanger.
Glass device I bought from a local head shop. I believe it was 30 bucks.
Objective:
The better the bud...the better the end result. I have used trimmings, stems, swag clippings...all good.
For this batch im using my own lemon kush bud.
First step is to pack the glass tube full of your ingredient. Do not pack too hard...you want to maintain a consistent density to allow some pressure to build up inside the tube...but not so packed the butane doesn't flow through and into the Pyrex bowl. Experience is the only real way to learn this step. It takes about half a can, (usually more) to saturate and "grab onto" the THC and flow into the bowl.
Second step is to go outside and squirt the butane through the weed in the glass tube and into the Pyrex bowl. (Icing is normal)
Third step is to place the bowl into a hot water bath. I try not to get any water in my bowl...also, I have the time to let the butane "boil off" on its own without boiling hot water. I use hot tap water and it takes about 10 minutes or two bong hits....lol
Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3...3 more times, in this case.
after all the weed and butane is used up...you have this bubbly amber tar like stuff...
step 4...stir. all you want is..no bubbles. Its not a hassle, but you do need to wait between stirs.
Caution for idiots...(not you jack47) butane is heavier than air and is highly flammable. The low boiling temp is what makes this ideal. You don't even need to place it in a water bath. I do it to speed up the "boiling off" process.

. But I agree with other posters that BHO is VERY bad for your lungs. Even Subcool has admitted that after smoking concentrates like BHO and other it has reduced cardiovascular capabilities. By no means am I trying to discourage use of concentrates because i do love them myself but everyone should at least try to use in moderation and with the cleanest smoking method available.
