How many plants can i put under one 600watt hps???

Hey you guys ... i was just wondering how many plants i could put under a 600w HPS ? i have an attic grow room with plenty of space i just dont know how many to put up there to get maximum yeilds from my light?? Also what is see of green i understand it is alot of plants but how do you do it and isit worth it ?? thanks EcKtOpLaZm

I average 8-12 plants under a 600 hps and seem to be fine.

Depends how long you veg for, less veg, you can fit more plants. More veg, less plants. The idea is for your canopy to be full at harvest time.

Must keep strain into consideration too, some strains get bigger than others.

i have 5 superskunk 3 ak47 and 5 early skunk... 13 in total.. They have all just broken ground, how long until i put them into vegetation? I am planning putting all them under my 600 hps but dont understand when to put them under. I currently have them under 4 cfl 40w tube lights and dont know when to do the change over??. can they handle the hps at a young age?? thankyou ecktoplazm

yes but u have to keep the light further away cuz they are easier to burn.i would give it 2 weeks under cfls but u dont have to
