Bumpin myself...

It has been one full week since I have been running both spectra panels and the first pic I have is of the four plants I put in flower since then. they seem to be very happy in their new home. and they also appear to not have any problems with my nute feedings. There is an NYPD, one wonder woman, one Tangerine dream, and one AK47.

and these next pics are of a Blueberry that has about 3-4 weeks left.

These are some bud porn from my NYPD.. about 2-3 weeks yet.

thanks man!! She should start o puff up nice in her last few weeks!!!

Lookin great those new lights are Def making all the difference right now !
You said it dude!!! It's nice to have the "proper" amount of light!!!

No doubt, looking reaaaaaal nice.
Thank man, They really like being able to breathe to, before they were all scrunched in the old cabinet and it would make lower growth die from not getting any light. I won't have that problem anymore!!

BTW... I like the new avatar!!

Thanks Stoney! Something happened overnight and my avatar went to some farmer holding a sheep lol. I pulled this one from my archives right away. My new 4 x 4 tent arrived today for my 2 180's. I had the same idea that I am looking to leave them with some more space. Probably going to try a dollar tree hat for them when I get it set up. Need to have an electrician friend check out my amps first, might be pushing it with another tent lol.

That is awesome news!!! I can't wait to see how it looks!!! we should have very similar environments!! It would be cool to grow the same strains to compare... mmmm

I'm not sure if this helps, but I can take my clamp meter and check the current draw with both my panels on and the fans, and let you know how much is being drawn... i gotta wait till the lights to come on first though!! I only checked it months ago when i got my first GLH and it was low. I bet now both of them draw about two amps.

That certainly wouldn't hurt, it would give me an idea of what I would be adding to the room at least. What does it measure? Amps?

Werd.

yep, Amps are the only way to measure current draw. with the current draw and the voltage supplied, and math... you can find any power figure you are looking for. I'll measure it later today when the lights com on!!

Sweet thanks! Are you an electrician by chance? lol

yes, by trade I am an electrical engineer. i used to work extensively in the semiconductor field (most in wet processing). I have also wired my own house and a few others. I have experience in many forms of electricity and robotics. with a nice background of chemicals.. I've worked on anything from three phase power all the way down to 5v digital. i couldn't grow when i did that though... I was always traveling somewhere!!!

Lights are on now... i got my meter in my hand!!!

I had a feeling! Sweet thanks man! I need to score one of those meters......

It was a little more than i expected... the entire cabinet, fans and lights was a 3.46 amp draw. I am tied to a 20 amp breaker so I have no worries but i though it might be a little lower. Each panel was drawing 1.54 amps at the cord.... so 1.54A X 119.2VAC at the outlet = 183.56 Watts. looks like mike at GLH is spot on!!!

So what is a safe load on the 20 amp breaker? Will it pop on loads under 20 amps or is it safe all the way up and a bit more?

I figure I will be pushing it. There are areas where I could cut back though lol. This will be my 4th box in the room.

1 box with a 432 T5 Fixture, one with a 216 T5, 1 600HPS with 4 T5 54W side lights and all the bells and whistles. I just went through the room and I calculate about 23.88 ams when everything is running. I'd say I will be pushing it if I add more eh? lol
