Reserva Privada OG Kush

Well it's back in stock at Attitude..

I've been told (by one person) that they had Reserva Privada OG Kush and that they had a hard time getting it to clone.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not really a fan of hard to clone strains and wouldn't want to order seeds if that's the case. Anything over 2.5 -3 weeks to root is probably more than I'm looking for.

And for those who have grown it.. would it be better to get the OG#18? I can get a clone of that locally... (hopefully that's what I'd get)

EDIT: I just noticed that the OG#18 is back in stock on attitude too...

I am growing OG Kush, not #18. Mine was slower to clone and root, but they are actually right where they should be in relation to my others, so they caught up with the huge stretch they do in veg, and they stretch at the beginning of flower, also. Supercropping is harder on these IMO, and I usually settle for a good tie down. Stretchy suckers, but they seem to be moving in the dank direction.....haha. Good luck with yours.

Thanks Hazorazo, good to know. It seems like everything I want to check out stretches.. I don't have a lot of experience with stretching strains.. I finally have a few and they've caught me by surprise a couple times.

Anyone have #18 and know how the stretch is in comparison?

My first set of clones with OG Kush( not the 18 ) did have a hard time cloning. But next generation around, I had around my usual about 80-90%. It is a very nice smoke but is a low yielder. I was actually taking the strain completely out of my perpetual but this time around I have it more intuned and it is 10 times better then my last couple harvests with it. This strain seemed to mutate for me after the first cloning. Also seems to top itself and grow into 2 main bushes. I had to stake my up because the main stem isnt as thick as it should be for how bushy the plant is. This is the first time I havent had yellowing/drooping leaves not too long into flowering. I upped the nutes or should I say doubled my nutes pretty much and is a lot healthier this time around.

I grew the RP OG last winter, I ended up losing it after 2 runs because I could not get it to root in a rapid rooter to save my life. The cuts stayed green for like 50 days but just wouldn't root.

I dont care much because the yield sucked, and I ended up crossing it to super silver haze and it is much better and yields much more than the OG mom.

I've noticed with all of my OG crosses that they suck to root too, same with the RP headband I grew. I recently bough an aero cloner and I bet I could get it to root with that, might pop a few more seeds in the near future. I grew 2 seeds, both plants were similar to each other but 1 yielded much better. The thing I dont like about OG is its stetchey as fuck, and even tho you get a lot of branches each one just grows a tiny bud at the top, and this is with a few months veg, topping and heavy LST.

Good info guys, keep it coming... Somewhat difficult to clone, stretchy, lower yield... Sounds like it may be more trouble than it's worth. I decided to go with the OG#18 and went ahead and ordered it. It's supposed to have a bit more yield.. We'll see.

I want to replace my current Chemdog, so for now that spot will go to the OG #18. If it's a pain in the arse I'll replace that too

I've grown both and still have them. The #18 will yield better but the #18 type pheno's aren't as tasty as the regular OG. They're both great but I prefer to smoke the regular OG. Also, I don't have any problems getting my clones to root.

i have had 3 harvests with the #18. She is an average cloner. Oddly, she is a darker green than most of my other strains.

I agree with gf. I had trouble cloning at first until I got a cloner bucket. Now I have no problems but it does take almost 2 weeks for a good set of roots. The color on the #18 is much darker than the other OG.
I have been running #18 since Feb and have tuned it up to 1g /watt. Actually, last cut for 6 plants was 16z from a 400watt hps.

I started some regular OG a while back and they will be ready in about 3 weeks. They will not yield as much as the #18 and have a great smell so far but not as fuelly as the #18. The #18s do stretch a lot more.
The regular OG I have now will finish faster by at least a week. The #18 pheno I have takes almost 80 days to finish but I think the regular will be done in 70.

The pack says about 9 weeks, so hopefully I'll get at least a couple that finish around the 9 week mark. I wish I would have waited a bit for your guys's info, you say the #18 stretches even more than the regular? bummer.

Do most OGs stretch then? Kinda sounds that way... I've been looking at the Calli Connection Larry OG.. you guys know what the stretch is like on that one? I'm so used to bushy plants like blue cheese, chemdog, etc.. these stretching varieties throw me off my game a little.

I veg them an average of 28 days. LST them for 3 weeks after I put them in flower. Then they still stretch for another week or 2. Top of the canopy is about 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall.
It's a lot of work to do all that LSTing, but to get a good yield with my lights I have to do it.

yea I had a killer cut.....took 10 cuts not one rooted... I kept um alive for over 5 weeks in a dome and rapid rooters....im gettin more seeds

MY OG #18 came out really well I was kind of bummed because only 3 seeds popped from Reserva Privada. Mine stretched to about 5 1/2 feet as well it got so bad late in flower that my buds were breaking branches, so i had to tape and tie her to bamboo which is a pain in the ass in hydro. One thing I did notice is that her root ball was smaller.

If you score your seeds you get alot better germ rates...even if you already tried to germ them....let um dry for a few days... then score um by rubbing the seeds on fine sandpaper...this takes the outer protection off and lets moisture in so the seeds can do its thing

The 1 yr old, 5 seeds I had left, I put um in a wet napkin and a plate on a mug warmer last night.... this morning 2 have already poped

I always score my seeds with a nail clipper file and I also use a heating mat. Just a bad batch of beans I guess.. I can tell you one thing though my smoking buddies are jocking the OG 18 a lot more than they like the Super Lemon Haze. My OG 18 punches me right in the face after 3 bong rips, I love this stuff in the jar it reeks of sour/chemy odor and on the exhale has a little earthy taste to it. Definitely tip my hats off to the guys at Reserva Privada
