grew a bunch of different vegtables this summer ranging from tomatoes to cucumbers and i have been useing nutes heavly and never flushed them just picked one off the tree and devoured it lol..no taste differnce and tastes freaking amazing...whats the point with weed then? thanks,

There isnt one!!! I NEVER flushed, EVER! Leeching is meant to use up any unused nutes stored in the soil/substrate/plant so the bud tastes nicer. I ran experiments, doing blind taste tests and no one could tell which had been leeched and which hadnt. IMO, depriving your plants of food in the final 2 weeks is robbing the grower of yield. Nutrient companies make the most of this by creating another product to sell that "improves flavour/taste/whatever". My challenge to EVERY grower out there is to do a half & half test to see if there really is a difference and you can tell which is which. If you can, you are overfeeding your plants, if you cant, your yields will improve as a result of you stopping leeching!!! LMAO, I wonder how many will do it???

Well to start with you're not smoking your tomatoes.. Smoking something is very different to eating something. I'm not saying either way with regard to the necessity of flushing, i'm just saying you're trying to compare apples and pears.

$45 a quarter oz.I adjust the taste of my herb in the last week.Buds are more dense also.$85 a 1/4 or $125 all about the quality bro's.

flushing is important imo.you are not depriving your plants of anything because they have what they need for the last few weeks in the leaves and will use that.bud that hasnt been flushed can burn uneven,be harder to burn and when its burnt the ash will be black rather than light grey/white.
flushing is a must if you use synthetic nutrients.

very true t.t.t. you dont smoke 'maters... potassium and calcium taste good in my mouth but not in my pipe. i dont think overfeeding is the way for me at least, i like to feed then give calmag only, feed, then give well water only, i have a sour og that loves it at 1100 ppm and fades in all but the most topped up super soil.. so soil leaching in rich soils can give you that nice organic fade that i CAN taste ask any hydro grower or search threads here with regards to drownding witch produces the best end result if you can make it happen... i will feed plants that need it until the end but i wait till they need it. thought i would throw this in... i fell like i can taste rock phosphates fed in high doses if not leached or flushed or cured a long time...sorry for the book

if ur pushing real hard untill the end, id do it for a few days, but that being said they are fine using up the rest of everything in the last few weeks... no flush nes, and your girls will thank u for not kicking their asses all the way down the road

If you stop feeding about a week or so before you harvest you shouldn't have to flush. About the only time I can see flushing is if you are using chemical salt ferts, and have a salt build up in the soil causing problems. Of course, those of us who grow organically really don't have that problem!! (Sorry, couldn't resist that! Hee Hee!)

It is essential for people to go ahead and experiment with their plants on their own first than getting advice from hundreds of people on the internet. I've read a lot of mixed opinions on this subject and in my next grow I am not flushing, even at the expense of the taste quality, which I read is not an issue if not flushed but dried and cured properly.

Toilets aside, I never flush, I water with a bit of run off. I make sure I water once every third water/feed. And the last two times they get normal amounts but just water. I think like Mr Harer said, it helps to use organic products. I use to flush like a freaking madman, have plants in my bath, shower, all over, throwing away gallons of water fer fuks sake, didnnae make the wife happy either having a bath with a gang of MJ ladies. I really see no difference at all now.

Dude you can flush or not. I have done both and I have never noticed a difference. Only reason you always have two sides of and argument when it comes to growing Marijuana is because it's a very hardy plant that can survive some of the most harshest grow conditions. Almost all techniques from lighting to flushing works in different ways. It's all about personal preference when growing herb.
