Are my trichomes 'ready'?

Hi Folks

Need your experience here.. Currently on my 1st grow. Got some Lowryder 2's on day 72. Most of the white pistols have turned brown/orange but I've read that the best way to judge when a plant is ready for harvest is the trichomes

Does anyone know of a forum post or grow journal that clearly shows what a noob should look for when it comes to trichomes?

I have a 200x mag glass that shows pretty good detail. I just don't know what detail to look for..

I've tried to upload pics of my own but they are too big for the forum

If you have that kind of magnification power you should have no problem seeing the color of the trich. If your looking for upity high go for a milky color and if your looking for a knock you on you butt let them go till amber (about 60 - 70 % of them) imho

kevo sounds correct look for the milky color and most of the pistils should have turned and receeded
