So I can honestly say I have never smoked any kind of kush, i'm sure some strains I have grown might have some history of kush genetics but never straight up kush. So what makes this strain so sought after? Also who breeds the best kush that I could actually get some beans and trust its actually what the say it is?

look at cali connection, pretty much every strain they have is a kush or a kush strain.. i've smoked their larry and i know a few people who have smoked the deadhead og was one of the best smokes they have had...

Actually for the past couple of years I have only worked on a couple strains. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it. But eventually it gets old

Kush is name! not a strain IMHO..:leaf:
kush is the name of the mountain range the genetics came out of. If you're going to argue that kush is a name and not a strain, then all stains are just names.
Hindu Kush Mountains. Thats where all of the landraces came from, also afghanistan, that made all of the real Kushes.

Sweet, I just put a clone into flowering about a week ago and hoping she is a she. Looks to be, but you know looks can be deceiving lol

I've smoked a bunch of kush the latest being barneys vanilla kush. I think it has more of a clean taste. Like what bud should taste like with out all the fruity or haziness. With that said I'm not a big fan. I like the fruity and haziness. I guess its a good staple smoke so you can really appreciate other strains flavors. Sometimes Kush gives me that sour feeling in my throat when its been cured for a long time. It may just be I grew up with kush type strains and that's what I think of as normal but its the way I see it.

Kush is there because of its stable genetics which are really strong body high of 20% thc.
This makes a knockout punch that has a land-race to share genetics with so that the outcome will become stable sooner with less mutations.
The kush is the backdrop for this because it has inbred within itself in the Hindu Kush mountains in such high elevations every year the genetics were inbred with the same plants phenyo that could withstand the mountainous climate rich with uv rays causing 0nly the strongest landrace to survive. .
