Post a picture, and more info.... What week are you into flower? How tall are they? Its not an easy question to answer.... All the shoote on the bottom branches give very little dried weed, so I like to "lollipop" them.... Cleaning everything for about 6-8 inches up from the medium Im growing in... It seems dumb to remove shoots that are budding, but instead of getting a few grams on all of those bottom branches, it will just make the top buds bigger instead, so its not like your losing anything in the end.... I remove leaves and branches too...

I remove the bottom third, it gets rid of the small popcorn buds and gives you more bigger buds, just like jayfury said. It also makes it easier to water IMO.You take the whole stem off right to the main stalk.

What is it with people wanting to mutilate their plants? The leaves will fall off when it's time. Trust me. I'm in late flower and they're dropping pretty steadily now. If you want to get more light to the plant, do some LST. It's simple.

Im 6 weeks into 12/12 and have so far only lost 6 leaves on 4 3ft tall plants. Steadily falling leaves are showing that you arent giving the plant enough nitrogen.

I have a few yellow leaves on top from a pH problem i had a few weeks ago but look at the greeness of the whole plant.

I also trim lower growth before the stretch anything between 4-9inches so that i get better airflow under my canopy.

Nice plant. I'm talking about "almost at harvest" late flowering. Yours are nowhere near done. I'm not feeding her anymore really. Just Big Bloom and molasses. I like for my leaves to fall on their own, this also gives me good airflow. Also, I do autoflowers. Chopping her lower branches before flowering isn't an option for me.

Where as i believe you should keep the plant as healthy as possible right to the very end otherwise you are causing stress which will ultimately lower your yield.

All the BS about flushing out chemicals etc is just that BS, Try it one day and feed right up until harvest keeping your plant as green as you can, then cut, dry and cure properly.

You will not be able to tell whether a plant has been flushed or not.

Remember that a green plant is a healthy plant.

Do you use chemicals or organics? I might try it when I have enough room to do 2 at a time. I'm a man of science, there must be a control.

I use Chems

I run a WILMA4 pot hydro system.

Use the FULL LINE UP from CANNA, AQUA VEGA/FLORES, ZYM, RHIZOTONIC, PK1314, BOOST along with a few other little goodies like Liquid silicon etc.

Dont get me wrong i dont feed at full Strength all the way through and i ALWAYS reduce my strength in the last few weeks but i never back off completely.

I USED TO "FLUSH" for 2 weeks and would get NANA's popping up left right and centre so i tried one day not flushing and hey presto i will never flush again.
