whats the most plants you would put in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 grow tent

hi and welcome to my thread im new to this and was just wondering what number of plants would you lot out there put in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 grow tent and still get good results
and by the way i'm useing a 600w hps in there at the moment

I tried in a space that was about 1.2' tall and it sucked, that was just one plant.

I would think one plant could easily grow into that space. Just a guess, Ive never done indoor bit based on my current outdoor I know plant can get pretty big.
but then again I guess it depends on how big you let them veg, guess you can keep them small, maybe 2??
Try to do a search on "small grow tents". Ive seen a site called ganjadigger.com. its like a search engine for marijuana.

Just trying to help (i have noticed a good percentage of people either dont know shit, or have too big of a head and dont ever reply, all they do is read stuff and laugh because people ask questions)

15 plants in a 3'x3' space, grow very happily, just see how many pots you can fit and that will answer the question.

or 1 pounder plant... moslty depends on how you grow.

It can depend on the size of your pots.

I have had 11 plants in total at one point under my 600w HPS, 4 of them were almost 3ft tall and 7 of them were small single cola lollypopped clones in 1litre airpots. I managed to pull 13g per plant in the 1 litre airpots. BUt it got a little crowded at times.


I would recommend trying to keep the 8 plants small and compact under 2ft tall with small amounts of side growth. After topping and your tops begin to define trim off the ones that are going to branch out too far, you could also use BAMBOO canes in the corners of your pots to keep the Stems trained to almost like a make shift tomatoe cage.

i use a tent of the same size, and have done for quite a long time now. i personally think it is alot easier to do 4 bigger plants in 25 ltr pots, i used 2 use a 600w but now i hav a 600w and a 400w both air cooled and runs fine. i just find it easier 2 water 4 bigger plants in big pots rather than more smaller plants in smaller pots. jus my opinion :)

alot of people base the ammount of plants on lighting...and some also say 100w per. plant...i say 50...if your going for numbers. IMO grow 2 monsters in that tent...veg for like 6-8 weeks, bend the main cola half way through veg on both, and then flower...i would veg with a light smaller in wattage though first, and then flower with the 6...only because i love to watch the explosion in growth you get when that happens...either way 2 monsters, and even if you just veg for 6 to 8 weeks, and do nothing to them...i see 2 oz. per plant...hopefully =)

my last crop was 4 swiss cheese in 25 ltr pots in canna terra professional using canna nutes, under the 2 air cooled lights previously mentioned, the average yield per plant was just underv6 bone dry. cant remember exactly but i think they had 5 weeks veg

If you are going to top & train them go with fewer plants. I would only go with 4 plants in 5 gallon pots plus it's easier to take care of fewer bigger plants in bigger pots. Less feedings and waterings.

right then i've been looking around and from the advice ive had on here i'm going to go with 4 plants and topping but iv also found another little problem i'm thinking of buying a cool tube but my question is do i blow the air through or suck through the cool tube i no it sounds simple but id rather get it right the first time around thanks to everyone for the advice so far:bigjoint:

Cent. fans pull air more efficiently than pushing air through the ducts. I would move the fan as close to #8 as possible and leave the filter where it is on the other side of the cool tube. Try to keep the bends and slack in the ductwork to a minimum.
