You might wanna read through the journal, I provided a lot of info there and since you are starting the same strain it might be prove useful to you and learn from the mistakes I did. I was planning to switch them into flowering at around 50cm (20") tall but the timer was not working and they were left into 24/0 throughout vegetation and for an extra week or more of what we thought was the 12/12 period so they stretched even more. Ended up switching them to 12/12 when they were considerably taller. Some were around 80cm already (32"). That led into rootbound so they didn't stretch that much into flowering. They all stopped at around 1.2-1.3m (44-48") Hope that helps! :D

3 or 5 gallon buckets work good for my soil mixture, that is I usually only grow plants a ft per gallon, so when I use 3 gal I top those plants, 5 gal for plants about 4ft, harvest usually doubles size of plant b/c I use C02..

EXCELLENT GROW MAN! What kinda 400 watt light did you use?
Sonlight Agro. It's supposed to be an HPS with a little bit of a blue spectrum thrown in there too. 58000 lumens and here's the spectrum:

Haven't read the best reviews about it though ever since so for next time I'm going for traditional MH for vegetation and HPS for flowering!

have you done a comparison of the same grow with and without CO2? I'm thinking of getting some in the future but not sure if it's worth the cost yet...

We have a switchable ballast, but will probably use CFLs for most of the veg and an HPS for the flowering.

Was thinking of using CFL too for vegetation but I had a spare 400W ballast sitting around and I also wanted to include the MH spectrum to the flowering stage. Plus the extra lumens never hurt anyone! ;) Will be using 2x600W HPS-TS @95k lumens each plus the 400W MH-HSX @39k lumens. The 2x600W in adjust a wing reflectors and the 400W vertically in the midle of the 4 plants without a hood. 4x25lt pots, I like me buds big! :weed:

Since you mentioned CFLs btw, how many Watts would be enough to keep a mother plant in a 4gal bucket for later cloning?

Here's my Hawaiian Snow at day 19... It's skinny / sharp blade leaves. I don't know if it was a result of injury. During the first week I accidentally sucked/shredded all the leaves into the vacuum tube while cleaning the grow area.

Looks good to me and I'm sure the skinny leaves is just its sativa heritage and not result of vacuuming its ass out lol
