How much do you harvest with that 400w HPS? What is the rough estimate of weight of each plant after you grow that many plants with that light?

but in the end a half pound of bud is a half pound of bud no matter how fluffy it may be. Yield is the key to not wasting energy for a bad grow. Been there done that.

A half lb is a half lb but my patients have come to expect a certain quality so my fluff goes into bubble bags and edibles. So to me it makes a difference....

This will depend on the strain, How many plants and type of grow. Anywhere between a 1/2 LB to a LB depending on if I messed up somewhere along the lines as well.

I have 3 big bitches in a 4x4 tent and a 600w, I should get a LB easily...

I use a 400 watt in a 3 X 4 X 7 ft grow box.
I like to get 1/2 lb out of my Pre-98 Bubba Kush (6 to 8 plants). It is hard to get more than that or else buds tend to be to airy,
I like to get 3/4 lb out of the Hybrids, like the Blue Dream I have been growing.
I'm growing in FFOF.
After the summer heat, I will probably throw a 600 watt in there.

Could always have a house part and ask everone to periodically breathe into this tube sticking out the walll.......
You can always get a paintball gun and empty a cartridge or two into the grow space...
Oh, and I always thought if you were able to do a gram a watt you were doing pretty damn good. So at 400w with 28g in a oz at 16oz a lb you can expect 400/1=400 , 400/16= 14.28 so you can get close if you know anything about growing.
Switch to 400w, speaking of 400w I"ll sell you my digital that is dimmable and then I can upgrade to 600w

I veg my plants under cfls, topping multiple times during the two month veg.
I flower four plants under 400w hps in two gallon pots. (42x24x60")
This is a perpetual grow and my plants are harvested over a six to eight week period.
I've been growing cuttings of this unknown strain for the last year.
I look forward to getting my hands on the Pineapple Express, the buds and plants i've seen grown with similar setups to mine are impressive.
Anything over two ounces gets turned into hash so I don't grow for weight really.

Well I just harvested and dried 151.10 grams under a 250w HPS, no topping/lst/or anything....+ it was an autoflower. I think thats an amazing Harvest for me being a newbie!

The only time i've come close to six ounces under a 250w hps was a plant vegged for close to three months, topped multiple times,
and harvested in two stages. The top 19 buds came down first (2 plus ounces), followed two weeks later by the lower part of the plant
(A bit over three additional ounces) This was more of a bush than anything, under three foot tall, and close to that wide.
I'm interested to hear more about the autoflower seeds that will produce weights like that under a 250w.
Can you give a bit more information on the seeds you used? Were they 60 or 90 day autos?
It might be worth it for me to swap my veg cfls with my old 250w and add an autoflower to the mom, plants and cuttings that
grow in my veg room.

Well Here is my Recent Harvest!
This was supposed to be a 90 day Plant but I waited just a tad longer. I waited to harvest her on the 112th day from seed because Trichomes were still not amber enough for me! I know, Thats long for a Autoflower but those trichs took long to change! Plant stopped growing in Height at 3 feet, The plant continues to form its flower and will not grow any taller, this will form heavy buds. Final outcome was 151.10grams of good Bud. About + 20 shoots where bud Grew. I planted my seed into a 3 gallon pot from seed with no transplanting!
Items used:
1-250W Hortilux Super HPS
1-Deimos(1 Seed)
2-Fox Farm Soil
3-Extra Perlite
Veg. Stage Nutrients:
1-Fox Farm Grow Big
2-Fox Farm Big Bloom
3-Cal Mag (late in Veg.)
Flower stage Nutrients:
1-Fox Farm Grow Big
2-Fox Farm Tiger Bloom (very Mild/Light on this shit)
3-Cal-mag
4-Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy
This is the reason I started this THREAD. If I pulled 151.10GRAMS with an AUTOFLOWER, It is very possible with doing an LST on My next Plant and coming very close too 1/2 Pound or maybe more with my 250W Setup! My LST thought: Train the Plant too follow the Path of My Bucket which would be trained in a circle and keep doing loops around/up in height until I reach A height of 3 feet Trained LSt Plant, If that would of grown straight up I Think it would be 6 feet, maybe! I have an amazing vision for My Next Plant. Right Now I have a White Widow seedling so lets see how this idea will go for me! I really think its going to Work and Produce lots of Bud from 1 plant with tons of shoots!

That shouldnt be hard to reach,i run 4x8 flood & drain tables & each table is light using 3 air cooled 600 hps,i normally pull a bit over 3 lbs rock hard nuggs each table, along with 6 to 10 ounces of semi popcorn & popcorn that goes into my hash making,you should be able to rip a lb per 600 pretty easy as long as it is a strain thats heavy indica,sativa blends yeild less.

It kind of makes my decision easier to get some seeds and swap the 250w with the cfls for veg.
Here's the plant I was talking about that I grew, it was 14 tops not 19.
