My First Hydro grow

This is my first attempt at growing hydroponically and my first attempt at budding indoors.
This grow will be a stealth cfl grow in my dresser. Currently i have a dwc cloner/seed starter that just fits 1.5inch rock wool cubes, and a 3 site dwc that fits 3inch net pots. Usually when roots show on plants in the cloner i move them outside. In the main dwc i have 2 clones and a seedling. One of the clones shows roots the other does not. The seedling is a regular Himalayan blue diesel and the clones are my own strains (justin and skunky)
I also have a sick Critical Jack seedling in a jiffy. Hard to believe its 3 weeks old...

Whats your humidity? what nutrients are you using? whats the High/Low temps? Do you mist? TDS/PH?
Humidity is 68. so far i used a tiny amount of jacks classic 20-20-20 because one clone doesn't show roots yet. i don't know temps yet but right now there on 24 hr light so temp is pretty constant. I do not mist. I don't have a ph or ppm meter yet but i used a pool ph kit so i know its below 6.5 its well water so there's no chemicals

so far so green that seedling looks like it might need more humidity or some misting but otherwise just give it some time. if you have a little cash and want your roots to explode look into beneficial microbes

The seedling not in the hydro was started outside and both of the first true leaves got burnt from the sun and it took 2 weeks nurturing it inside for new growth

I have upgraded my dresser. It is now covered in tin foil until i can afford mylar. The dome fixtures were removed and 2 different ones were put inside.

The clone that has good roots has been fimmed and lsted to keep it small until the other roots and starts reversing.

The HBD seedling seems to be growing slow, but maybe its just me...
IMAG0224.jpg
This clone is finally rooting as you can see by the white nubs and there is a root climbing through the hyrdroton I noticed after taking pictures.

The critical jack seedling is looking great. At first it grew leaves out of the cotyledon node and from there it grew two more that i noticed the same day but one was smaller than the other. A few days later another set then the next day another. I thought it was goin retarded but turns out it is dual topping and its just staggering already.

take down the tin foil its great for absorbing heat not so much for reflecting it your much better off with plain white walls.
but if your looking for cheap mylar they sell emergency blankets(camping) & car sunshades made of the stuff 4 cheap
otherwise looking good and strong

for now im going to leave the foil up until i add my flowering bulb. I checked the temp in the dresser is 83 and the temp in the room is 79. and as you can see the first clone is vegging great. they are now on full strength jacks classic (1/4 tsp per gallon).

Hey mate, they are looking ok but you really should invest in some ph down so you can adjust your ph to around 5.5-5.8 Also fill up those net pots all the way with the hydroton so light isn't getting into tank. Light will cause shit to grow in the water. You should also consider getting some h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide). It further oxygenates the water and also stops slime and undesirable crap from growing in your tank. Apart from that looking good :)

Ill warn you about starting h202 First you MUST use food grade. 3$ store bought is toxic (even to humans). if you ever start using it you cannot stop... good call on the filling the cups up.

The only reason i say the aluminum foil thing is plain white walls reflect 75% of light and like 60% heat. aluminum is 50/50%. u gotta have an old car windshield shade or a friend with one

They were switched from 24hrs to 18/6 now but i think i have to drop it more to trigger flowering in the non autos.

looks good watch the temps your getting on the high side. if your gonna get a 400 watt you will NEED good air flow or it will turn into an oven in there. water temp is very important also any more then 75 F with no micros, you WILL get root rot . TRUST me I was in hospital for a week an my wife didn't turn my chiller on an plants got root rot something AWFUL. Ruined my PERFECT grow. Have fun Happy growing

I bought a 6" 240cfm duct fan. I am hoping it will suffice. also the armoires inside dimensions will be 4ft wide 2 ft deep and 3 1/2ft tall.

Take that tin foil off. It's all wrinkled so you have light fragmenting and bouncing everywhere. This is just hurting your grow.

Get the lights closer.

Been a while since i updated. I had run out of water in the rez one day for a few hours but they recovered. I put up some new siding. It looks like mylar to me... its the shiny bag fish are shipped to pets mart in. I also had company for like a week and my plants grew into the lights and i couldnt fix it... but they are fine now.
