Stay in the library after school and do your homework right away. If you need to roll a jay for the occasion and just chill out and do homework.

dont act like a hs kid-they will boot you ina second, lazy people fail, dont miss a test and make up some bs excuse-they have herd it all-bring a mass card if you had a death, dont hand in stuff late (profs give you a deadline and they want it then), get on a teachers good graces-even if your grades arent the best they usually hook you up if you have a good personal relation w the prof, dont ask to go to the bathroom-just walk out of the class room, read the textbooks and make flashcards. anything else?

edit: big university or private college?

tell them like the first week of class, then the week or so be4 u miss ask for the chapters that are covered, get a few friends to photo copy the weeks lecture notes, do the work and hand it in when you come back
******SOME PROFESSORS WILL FAIL YOU IF YOU MISS MORE THEN 2-3 CLASSES, keep that in mind.

Good for you kiddo!! Got two kids in college right now myself. Try to do your best!! If you do it often enough it will become a habit. If it becomes a habit, you will be happy and engaged for your entire life. Boredom and depression are a symptom of apathy and ignorance.

Hey urca, just go to class and do your thing. Most students at my school smoke weed and alot of them are proud. You will make friends easily. Have fun, go out and hang with your lab partners or partners from class. But above all be on top of your studies. Try studying a chapter ahead of time before teacher reviews it with the class. You will remember so much better than way. Thier is no limit on how much time you should study. You should study as long as it takes to familiarize yourself. Its never too late for school. If you ever find yourself behind do what ever it takes to catch up and struggle if you have too.

For future reference take as many online classes as you can. I find them so much easier becuase i have google to aid me in my exams, you can google for answers during exam!! I been able to get away with a B on alot of them with no book. I wish i can take more but im so close in finishing that they do not offer advance classes online for my major.

try to study before smoking and when you need to toke. smoke a rip and re read what you just went over to find if your high ass can see applications for it.

This makes things much more interesting. well at least for math, and science

bad idea urca becuase if the poeple who cheat got caught you will to for having nearly the same answers. Be smart and dont cheat on campus. Online its doable becuase they cant stop you from using google. While you are at home

don't plagiarize. you might as well murder somebody on campus.

if you get the word that somebody might have a test, get your hands on it ASAP. a lot of professors use the same tests over and over.... same goes for test banks... if somebody tells you they have their hands on it, blackmail their ass until you get it too. fuck it. it's survival of the fittest.

make sure you understand how you are going to be graded. ask questions, if you don't get it, ask it again.

it isn't highschool. the type of loser tweenage dwama i've read about here won't fly there....

Also, you must realize there are different groups of people.

Group 1 : GPA 3.3-4.0 (B+ to A)<<< these people go home and study & wake up early on the weekends to study. Grades are number one to them and lack a large social life.(not always a bad thing) They have good honest friends)

Group 2 : GPA 2.7-3.2(C+ to B)<<< These people study when they come home from school but do like to go out on the weekends and party

Group 3 : GPA 2.0- 2.6(C to C+) <<< These people cram for tests and end-up getting mid-60's as a grade, but the professor likes them so they pass. They party more than 3 days a week all other times they play call of duty

Group 4 : GPA: (FAILING - Dropout) <<<<These are the kids that go to school to party. They never study, they just go out and find parties around campus. Normally they are the kids that daddy makes go to school but they really don't want to. They hate going to class therefore have a piss attitude towards the professor and receives no gratitude form the professor.

You will be one of the above decide what you want. If you see your self doing things in other groups ask yourself will you be happy with that grade.
