Limited Release Films

Last couple movies we watched were films we had never heard of because they were limited release films. Wiki describes them as "A limited release is often used to gauge the appeal of specialty films – especially of documentaries, independent films and art films."

Well whatever.. these last two were limited release and both were surprisingly good. Probably better then some block buster movies. It got me thinking I am missing some good stuff out there not watching these movies.

The Beaver

Both Mel Gibson and Jodi Foster are awesome. Tear jerker, looks stupid but damn it hits on so many lifes shit people deal with and sometimes crack and have to come back. Jesus this should been a mainstream movie.

and The Perfect Host

Starts out bit slow but man it rockets you through twists in the middle to end.. fantastic.

I've seen previews for The Beaver. It looks interesting but my hatred of Mel Gibson overpowers my will to see the movie. I actually have seen the trailer for The Perfect Host as well and will indeed end up watching it because David Hyde Pierce is cool in my book. Thanks for reporting yo.
