help a newbie out

so i bought this plant from a friend...not sure what stage its in but im not sure what to do with it, ive found a spot but there tree coverage everywhere...it would def get sunlight but not direct sunlight...kinda goes through the tree's...does it need a full day of full sunlight or can it be shady to? the soil at the spot is very rooty and hard, not sure if this is good or bad...please help me out and tell me what to do with this thing!

It's starting to bud. I would leave it in that container, youll just have to keep it watered and maybe some nutes. Put it where it'll get the best lite without being noticed, if that is an issue.

first thing i would do is rough that mud looking soil up and create some air in there looks very compact

you guys think i should just leave it in the pot? and im still clueless on where to put it, lol...my parents cant see it and im surrounded by thick forest, the sunlight still goes through the tree's but its not direct.

if anyone else could give me there opinion on keeping in the pot or planted it, that would be much appreciated. :-P

*really depends on you :), since its your first MJ plant.. i'd suggest just to leave it in the pot. --from the looks of ur soil, i'd grab a stick and poke 3-4 holes down.. so when you water, it will help distribute/aerate the liquid.. goodluck

, since its your first MJ plant.. i'd suggest just to leave it in the pot. --from the looks of ur soil, i'd grab a stick and poke 3-4 holes down.. so when you water, it will help distribute/aerate the liquid.. goodluck

If it were me I'd keep it in the pot, water it give it as much sun as possible and when harvest time comes enjoy. That's what I'd do.

Just give it enough water so that it drains all the way down to the bottom of the pot, make sure the pot has holes in the bottom so the water can drain. I put my flowering plants into 5 gallon containers not sure what size yours is. Also only water when the soil is dry all the way through. Stick your finger in about 2" and if it is dry it's safe to water
