depends on the lights you had it under... if you have it under high powered 400+ wattage lights, then yeah you can. if you're flowering under CFLs, I wouldn't recommend it unless you either put it under a tree, or put it out when there's a good week of cloudy weather.

hey poplars after a good week of cloudy weather can i keep it outside for the rest of the flowering process
yep after a good week of clouds for sure... definitely make sure where-ever you put it the pot is well covered and insulated from temperature fluctuations.. I would even recomend burrying most of the pot in the dirt to keep the roots happy.

if you don't have clouds just find a very shady tree.

light has little to do with it. It's all temps. I do it a little different I put plants out a few hours a day then add a hour or so each day. takes about a week less if temps are close to the same. I had a friend that wanted to help his wife out with her house plant. He took them all out side hung them up and what not watered them and went to work. He got home that night to find every plant burnt to a crisp. poplars is right on you have to harden off the plant to leave outside.

its not all temps though I do agree with you that temps matter.

sunlight can be many many more times intense than indoor light, so if you put a budding plant that's been indoors under cfls into direct sunlight, even if the temps agree with you , the sunlight wont, and you will have white blotches and burn spots all over your plant, potentially killing it.

just sayin man I have a lot of outdoor growing experience and I've seen sunlight alone fuck up plants to near death.

I'm smiling, we are saying the same thing but going at it a little different. that's why I start a few hours at a time and build up. "I" say heat you say light. works out to be the same thing I think.

I don't think it does... I think there's a significant difference between temperature and intensity of the light... I mean the plants completely change color to adapt to this light, so how could it just be a temperature thing?

I guess this is pointless.. either way we both end up telling the dude to harden off... I just stick to my point the sunlight is intense and it's not just because of the temperature it emits, its because of the UV rays and others...
