Someone must know: How much does a grower get paid?

Experienced grower asked to setup and run a grow op. Everything covered: expense, location, security, legal (as much as possible under CA medical laws) issues all handled. All I'm expected to do is come in and run the operation (and produce a quality product, naturally). I completely understand the risk. No need for explicit details, but I'm expecting to harvest 4 lbs/month once up and running.


What percentage of the harvest should I get as compensation?
(I'm leaning toward asking for 25%, am I lowballing myself? Wholesale is $2000-3000/lb out here)

I know I posted this question before, but nobody seemed to have even an estimate. I know somebody has this arrangement...and yes, I realize how lucky I am. Thanks.

Well seeing as though they have covered everything, I believe 30-35% wouldn't be too much to ask, always start high :eyesmoke: and then work your way down if needed.

and you get all the trim to make your own hash with.

alot of ppl grow for their heads/ self medication, so its hard for us to say. seems like a fun job, i would do it. ya you should make at least 400 bucks a week i would say, depending on your skills and how many hours you put in. good luck buddy.

yeah it would be hard to live off 2,000 a month, nowa days.

Perhaps increase your monthly yeild, or ask for a bigger cut?

2 grand plus all the weed he can smoke?
I gotta think that'd equal out in the end...

I'd start as 30% (maybe 35 if you know him well) and be prepared to accept anything over 20.

It might work out in the end if he lived in a shoe, with no bills,fuk,$2,000 a month is only $500 a week,your not gonna live good on that,$2,000 a month is not adult wages.

I have to say that even at $3000. a month thats $36,000. Won't get you much in California from what I have heard. On the other hand 25% for someone getting their expenses paid etc. sounds steep. Maybe you both need to rethink your plan. Double the production 8# a month is an increase of 3# from you original, the investment from the other side will be larger to start with and then pay back better. It would put you between $4 and $6 thousand a month. VV

yeah sounds like a bad deal for both you...I agree with Victor you need to rethink the whole situation.

5k if you're still only growing 4 pounds.. and if you deliver well manicured and cured product, then the ammount of work you did earns you at least 50%..

the grow i'm doing now was financed by my friend, i'm working it and we split the last harvest pretty much 2:1 in my favor.. if you grow four pounds, 6g's is still fair imo.. and that's assuming they're only getting 2g's a pound
