NC Grow Op progress.

Hey fellow growers, I've got some eye candy for you guys.

I'm been staking out this forum for a while now and had to show off my girls.

First off, I am currently growing these:
3 Arjan's Haze #1
2 White Rhino
2 AutoFlowering freebies (Kannabia Specail and Power Skunk)
Also I have the remnants of my White Widow still alive


To the pictures, these were taken right after a rain s you can't get a good idea of just how many trichs are on some of the haze plants, but trust me it's pretty.

This is my favorite specimen:

She's is covered in shiny crystals I'll get a good picture in full daylight for the full effect.

White Rhino #1
She's is still vegging, I can not figure out why she is droopy, she is getting plenty of water (2 gallons every other day) and the soil pH is 6.8. She's also hasn't started flowering yet.


White Rhino #2
As you can see this one has started budding up nicely and although the picture is deceiving because of the rain weighing the leaves down she is nowhere as near as droopy as her sister.

When germinating this plant didn't break surface a week after the others did so I though her a dud but she sprouted in the window sill, got a late start, got almost eaten up by grasshoppers and start managed a great recovery.

Notice my plant's guardian? It doesn't make a web, just waits for grasshoppers to take a bite and get high then it strikes. Discovery Channel first hand.




And a sad site. This is what remains of my White Widow, freak storm came in the middle of the night and snapped most of the plant off at the lowest node, I tried to save it but was too late, now I'm struggling to save this last branch (notice the wire at the stem) .



I hope you guys enjoyed that, the mosquito were tearing me up so I didn't take anymore but I will keep updating from here on out.

I'm hoping for a decent harvest to make up for this mediocre season (lost 3 seeds @ germ, another small one to heat, and my White Widow is 95% gone...

Bummer about the storm ya know. Did you loose any as bad as my WW?

All the other ones tipped over; while this isn't good I guess I'd prefer them tip over than snap off at the stem.

I had some tipped over after the hurricane. Didn't think it was strong enough to really do damage but it did. I went and bought some huge tomato stakes from home depot (they have 9 foot stakes) so hopefully they survived this last wave. At this stage have to watch that wind!

I guess you don't have the convenience of being able to move your plants to your place do you?

If I was you I would lay them on their side before any major winds if you can't move them inside so that they don't snap , you can pick up a plant on it's side, you can't do anything with a dead plant right?


I've been watching the weather like a hawk lately, anything over 20 mph gusts and I'm calling it.

Yeah, I just foresee that Rhino not treating me very well. I give it everything the others gets and they are as green as can be. ph is fine. 2 gallons of water every other day a feeding every other watering. Maybe it's just a bad pheno cause her sister is a champ!

Looking at those frosty haze plants I can't wait to smoke them

I'm a NC grower as well. It has felt like a rain forest outside the last couple of days. I think the humidity levels are supposed to drop off the rest of the week though and things should dry out. The thing I'm most worried about at this point is bud rot or mold. I've been watching the weather like a mad man the last 2 days as well. My dumbass actually went out with a giant umbrella and covered one of my plants during one really strong 15 minute rain shower lol.

BTW, you've got some nice looking plants. Let me tell you a little something about that arjan's haze #1 lol. I got about a lb off of two of the them in '08. I hardly remember '09 because of that stuff. I have a bias towards the sativas, but that is one of my favorite strains of all time. I had to go with a shorter, indica dominant strain this season for security reasons. However, next year I'm going to find a better location to grow out some sativas (AH#1 included). Trust me though, if you've never had Arjan's Haze #1 before, you are in for a treat. I know people like to talk $hit about Arjan, but I've had really good success with a couple of his strains in the past. Good luck with the rest of your grow man. Time to finish up strong.

I've read a little about mixing 1:10 parts milk to water and spraying the plants then rinsing them off to prevent mold.

And your not dumb for holding an umbrella over your baby, that creates good vibes which helps any plant stay happy.

Yeah, I definitely think you will enjoy the AH#1. I've seen more than one person literally freak out after smoking too much of it. Moderation is key the first couple tiimes you smoke it, especially if you don't have a very high tolerance. Of course, you've got to grow it correctly for any of this to apply (which is true with any strain). Looks like you are doing a really good job so far. Fight the urge to cut too early and really let them get to peak thc levels.

I had two of them and they were probably both 7-8 ft tall. Both were topped. I always use fox farms OF medium along with some extra perlite in pretty large holes with a bunch of small rocks at the bottom. I always use organic nutes. Back then I think I was using the fox farms trio. Good luck the rest of the way man.

Moderation is key the first couple tiimes you smoke it, especially if you don't have a very high tolerance. Of course, you've got to grow it correctly for any of this to apply (which is true with any strain). Looks like you are doing a really good job so far. Fight the urge to cut too early and really let them get to peak thc levels.

I'm a sativa man through and through, not to say that I can't enjoy the delicately crossed indica dominant hybrids

I'll have to keep that in mind because I've got a friend who's growing two bag seed plants in 5g buckets and they are in the 6 to 7 ft range but he feeds them constant nute mix (I've ragged on him about it before) and the buds are very lanky yet juicy, he thinks his bud is superior when I tried to explain that genetics is 90% of the battle.

I'm looking forward to getting fvcked up myself so this is good news. Most people I've met can't handle hardcore sativa because they can't control their minds and paranoia sets in, I've never had this problem at all so I can't understand it.

Well that would surely net your a pound of dried goods. How did they respond to being topped? I doubt I need to ask but was curious about recovery time.

I like the way you had them set up, right now I'm using FoxFarm tiger bloom and although it isn't organic (blah) I can't afford much right now but I'm going to flush them real good and water cure a bit of each plant

I went out and watered them, sorry no pictures, and they were looking good except for my White Rhino which refuses to bud, it's a mystery to me as I'm looking at 3 other Hazes beside it in full bloom.

My bigger White Rhino is getting black bagged this weekend. It needs to start flowering now. Haha.

So I did take pictures from the last update but I'm too lazy to go through putting them up.

So I chopped the 3 Arjan's Haze's.

I took my three evening of trimming back to back to back to trim everything. Talk about working for something, trimming made me never even want to look at another plant again.

Anyways, Everything is dried and i just weighted it all and put it in curing jars.

I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Total dry weight from the 3 Hazes is 258.5g or a little north of 9 ounces.
Plus those big piles of dry ice hash you see. Those worth from 5 dry ounces worth of trim and pop corn buds using a 120 micron bubble bag.

Whatcha think about that? I'm happy. Debating whether or not I should smoke something...
