Some buds look ready, others not quite, all on same plant. What to do?

The top cola (1st pic) seems ready. Calyxes are turning orange and curling in, looked at the trichomes w a scope and they are developing a slight amber tint. From what I've read, that means this bud is at its peak and ready to go. But on the same plant I have other buds that aren't quite as mature (2nd pic). On these the calyxes are just barely changing color and the trichomes are still clear or just beginning to cloud a tiny bit.

My question is this: Can I harvest the top cola off the plant now and the other buds later, when they seem at their peak?

Anyone with experience selectively harvesting buds from one plant over time?

Yes sir, this happens from time to time and is no big deal. If the top cola happens to go ahead and mature you can chop it and let the rest continue to

live on until it is ready. You just wouldn't wanna chop "3/4's" of the entire plant because this "could cause stress" if its that type situation

just go ahead and cut the rest of the plant.

Make sure to look at those trichs and watch that amber color come in. I like to cut mine when its about 30% amber all over.

yeah, take em when they seem right to you, if your not pressed for time, the lower buds will mature better with the upper ones removed.

i do it all the time chop the tops off and let bottoms finish for a week or two. end up getting better overall yields too

Went ahead and chopped & hung (sounds kinda medieval) the top bud in the first pic. My buddy says the bud looks to early to him but the trichomes had a very slight amber tint, and I do prefer a psychedelic "up" kinda high so we'll see what happens..

bummer....wish I had seen this sooner.... that was a roughed up bud bro, when buds get damaged like something bashes into them or they get hit by something in the wind, they do that...

Hmm, I do shake the plants pretty vigorously every couple of days because of white flies and leafhoppers, as well as the occasional spider mites. Do you think that could be fucking up the buds?

as long as you're not hitting the buds it wouldn't do that... that' kinda damage happens when a plant gets hit by a branch over and over from the wind... or something like that.
