you shouldnt tie string around the stem so tightly like that,because they need room to grow.so loosen up the string tied around the stem a bit.
apart from that tho,things look good.

No branches " snapoed" per say...the first photo shows damage to the seem ( like a scrpe-contusion) and the new top growth kinda bent...almost like a super crop method...there any benefit or negative side effects due to my moronic ways?

yea, usually I don't tie so tight, but I let the twine get away...honestly, I think I was half asleep when I did this...should I untie her?

well the benefit to doing what you doing is,a bushier plant,with more heads and a much more even canopy which should increase yield.

you basically just topped your plant expect two main colas instead of one
it might be slow growth for a few days let it be and it will recover
