Can a 400w hps light bulb and 400w hps ballast be used in a reflector which came with a 600w hps bulb and ballast as a kit?

My worry is dont want to blow the 400w kit on a reflector which was made for use with 600w bulbs!

yes it can! aslong as the ballest matches the bulb your fine. if it can take the heat from a 600 then the 400 is no problem
